Hikvision Turret Cameras

Hikvision Turret Cameras — Compact, Low-Glare Coverage

Turret (or “EyeBall”) cameras are the most popular form factor: a compact ball-in-socket design that’s easy to aim, produces less infrared glare than a dome, and suits walls and eaves. Choose ColorVu for full-colour night vision or AcuSense for AI detection.

Why a turret camera?

The most popular all-rounder

A turret camera houses the lens and IR in a ball that sits in a fixed base, so the illuminator and lens move together — this minimises the internal reflections (“IR glare”) that can affect domes, while keeping a compact, low-profile look. They’re quick to mount on walls and eaves and work well indoors and out. Hikvision turrets come in ColorVu (full-colour night vision) and AcuSense (AI human/vehicle detection), in 4–8 MP.

FAQ

Hikvision turret cameras — questions

What is a turret camera?
A turret (or “EyeBall”) camera has its lens and infrared in a ball that swivels within a fixed base. It’s compact, easy to aim and produces less IR glare than a dome — the most popular form factor for general use.
Turret vs dome — which is better?
Turrets are easier to aim, have less IR glare and a lower profile; domes are more discreet and vandal-resistant for ceilings and public areas. For most wall/eave installs, a turret is the go-to.
Should I choose a ColorVu or AcuSense turret?
ColorVu gives full-colour footage at night; AcuSense gives AI human/vehicle detection with discreet infrared. Some models include both.
Are turret cameras suitable for outdoors?
Yes — Hikvision turrets are weatherproof (IP67) and designed for both indoor and outdoor mounting.
What recorder do I need?
Any Hikvision PoE NVR powers and records turret cameras over a single cable with full ColorVu and AcuSense support.
Are these genuine Australian stock?
Yes. ARC IP Networks is an authorised Australian Hikvision reseller; all cameras are genuine local stock with a 3-year Australian manufacturer warranty.
