The RF Elements range explained

Horn antennas, dishes and the TwistPort system, from RF elements' own product pages.

Symmetrical Horn antennas

A Symmetrical Horn is a travelling wave antenna with the same beamwidth in both azimuth and elevation, giving a clean, focused coverage area with strongly suppressed side lobes. RF elements says this reduces unwanted noise, improves sector isolation and allows more sectors on the same site, with optional mechanical tilt for close and distant clients. Models range from narrow 30 degree to wide 90 degree beams, in 5 GHz and Wideband 5/6 GHz versions.

Asymmetrical Horn antennas

Asymmetrical Horns come as 20 to 90 degree sectors in 5 GHz and Wideband 5/6 GHz, with TwistPort (TP) versions and Carrier Class (CC) versions with N-type connectors, plus 4x4 MIMO models.

UltraDish antennas

UltraDish TwistPort dish antennas give high-gain directional links, from the UltraDish TP 21 to the UltraDish TP 400.

TwistPort adaptors

TwistPort is RF elements' proprietary waveguide interface: it replaces lossy coaxial pigtails, with near-zero insertion loss, a secure mechanical connection and cross-platform radio compatibility, so radios can be upgraded without replacing antennas. TwistPort Adaptors (TPA) fit third-party radios from Ubiquiti, MikroTik, Mimosa and others.

About RF elements

RF elements designs and manufactures high-performance Horn and Wideband antennas for wireless internet service providers (WISPs) and fixed wireless access networks, specialising in 5 GHz and 6 GHz. The company reintroduced Horn antenna technology in 2014 to tackle interference, with precise, controlled radiation patterns and suppressed side lobes for higher sector density and frequency reuse. Its Wideband (WB) series is designed, engineered and manufactured in-house in the EU.

RF Elements FAQ

Straight answers from the ARC IP Networks team.

Yes. ARC IP Networks is an authorised RF Elements reseller and supplies genuine RF elements horn antennas, dishes and TwistPort adaptors from Australian stock.

RF elements explains that traditional sectors struggle in dense deployments because of side lobes and poor interference rejection, and can leave signal nulls for nearby clients. Horn antennas have precise, controlled radiation patterns and suppressed side lobes, which improve signal-to-noise ratio, sector density and frequency reuse.

A Symmetrical Horn has the same beamwidth in azimuth and elevation for a focused, torch-like coverage area. Asymmetrical Horns are sector antennas, offered as 20 to 90 degree sectors.

TwistPort is RF elements' waveguide interface that connects the radio straight to the antenna without coaxial pigtails, with near-zero insertion loss. TwistPort Adaptors fit third-party radios, and a radio can be upgraded without replacing the antenna.

WB is RF elements' Wideband series, covering 5 GHz and 6 GHz in one antenna, for example the SH90WB Symmetrical Horn and AH90WB Asymmetrical Horn.

Yes. ARC IP Networks delivers Australia-wide from Australian stock, with trade and project pricing for WISPs, installers and integrators.
