What is Ruijie Reyee?

Cloud-managed networking with no ongoing licence

Ruijie Networks is a Chinese enterprise networking manufacturer; Reyee is its range for small and mid-sized business. The whole Reyee line — switches, access points, gateways and bridges — is managed free for the life of the hardware from Ruijie Cloud or the Ruijie Reyee phone app, with no subscription, no controller to buy and no per-device licence.

That makes it a direct alternative to UniFi and TP-Link Omada for multi-site operators — caravan parks, retail chains, schools, hotels and MDUs — where the cost of controllers or cloud licences adds up. Reyee also has features the alternatives lack at this price: IP camera recognition and PoE watchdog on the CCTV switch range, which name attached cameras and automatically power-cycle one that has stopped responding.

Choosing Ruijie for an Australian site

Start with the PoE budget, not the port count

A 24-port switch with a 370 W budget runs 24 cameras at about 15 W each. Add PTZ cameras with heaters, or Wi-Fi 7 access points, and you need 802.3bt — that means the RG-ES207GS-HP for small jobs or the RG-NBS5200-48GT4XS-UP at 740 W for a full floor.

Multi-gig matters once you deploy Wi-Fi 6E or Wi-Fi 7

A BE14000 access point like the RG-RAP73Pro can move more than a gigabit, so a 1 G switch port throttles it. Pair it with a 2.5 G switch (RG-ES206MG-P, RG-ES209MG-P or the NBS3300 multi-gig range) or use its 10G SFP+ port.

6 GHz in Australia is narrower than the US

The ACMA class licence opens 5925–6425 MHz — the lower 500 MHz — not the full 5925–7125 MHz the United States allows. Tri-band Wi-Fi 7 APs work here, but plan for roughly three 160 MHz channels rather than the channel count quoted in international datasheets.

Getting across a gap

The EST series covers short hops (EST100-E at 500 m, EST350G at 5 km as a pre-paired pair); AirMetro is the point-to-multipoint option when one base station has to feed several remote sites.

Is Ruijie Reyee available in Australia?
Yes. Yes. ARC IP Networks is an authorised Australian Ruijie reseller and carries the Reyee range as genuine Australian stock, with the full manufacturer’s warranty — not grey import.
Does Ruijie Cloud cost anything?

How does Ruijie Reyee compare to UniFi?
Both are cloud or controller managed ecosystems at similar price points. Reyee needs no controller hardware at all and its CCTV switch range adds IP camera recognition and PoE watchdog, which automatically power-cycles a camera that stops responding. UniFi has a larger accessory ecosystem and a bigger installed base in Australia. For camera-heavy sites and multi-site operators watching licence costs, Reyee is usually the cheaper build.
What warranty do Ruijie products carry?
Most Reyee switches, access points and gateways carry a 3-year manufacturer warranty; the NBS managed switch range carries 5 years. These are the full manufacturer’s warranty terms.
Do you stock Ruijie access points for outdoor use?
Yes. The RAP outdoor range is IP68 rated — models such as the RG-RAP6262 and RG-RAP62-OD are built for yards, car parks and building exteriors. For links between buildings, look at the EST and AirMetro wireless bridges rather than an access point.
Can I mix Ruijie with my existing switches and cameras?
Yes. Ruijie switches, APs and gateways are standards-based — 802.3af/at/bt PoE, 802.1Q VLANs, standard SFP and SFP+ optics — so they interoperate with other vendors' hardware and with any ONVIF camera. Cloud management features such as IP camera recognition work with third-party cameras too.
What is the difference between Ruijie and Reyee?
Ruijie Networks is the manufacturer. Reyee is its product line for small and medium business, which is what most Australian buyers mean when they say "Ruijie". Ruijie also sells an enterprise campus range (RG-AP, RG-CS, RG-WS) and we can supply those to order.
