Yealink's current conference-phone range has four models for Australian meeting rooms. The CP925 is the wired PoE phone for small to medium rooms, with a 7-microphone array and a 4-inch touch screen. The CP935W has the same 4-inch screen, 6 microphones and a built-in 7800 mAh battery, and registers over Wi-Fi. The CP935W-Base is the same phone sold with a W70B DECT base. The flagship CP965 has a 12 + 1 microphone array and a 5-inch screen, takes two CPW65 wireless or CPE95 wired expansion mics, and comes in a native Microsoft Teams Edition. The older CP930W is now end of sale; Yealink's replacement is the CP935W-Base.
Quick pick: a CP925 for a cabled huddle or meeting room on 3CX or hosted PBX, a CP935W for a room with no data point at the table, a CP965 (plus expansion mics) for boardrooms, and the CP965 Teams Edition for rooms that live in Microsoft Teams. ARC IP Networks stocks them in Australia: genuine Yealink stock with the full manufacturer's warranty, delivered Australia-wide.

Yealink conference phones at a glance
All current Yealink conference phones share the same Y-shaped body, the black acoustic fabric that resists water, oil and stains, Yealink Noise Proof Technology and full-duplex audio. The decisions are about connection (cable, Wi-Fi or DECT), room size and platform (SIP or Microsoft Teams).
| Model | In one line | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| CP925 | Wired PoE SIP phone, 7 mics (6 + 1 noise-reduction), 4" touch screen | Small and medium meeting rooms with a data point at the table |
| CP935W | Wi-Fi SIP phone, 6 mics, 4" touch screen, 7800 mAh battery | Rooms with no cable at the table, and phones that move between rooms |
| CP935W-Base | CP935W plus a W70B DECT base in one box | Sites that want DECT rather than Wi-Fi for voice |
| CP965 | Flagship wired SIP phone, 12 + 1 mics, 5" screen, expansion mics | Boardrooms and large meeting rooms |
| CP965 Teams Edition | CP965 hardware running the Microsoft Teams interface | Teams meeting rooms that want tap-to-join from the Outlook calendar |

Wired, Wi-Fi or DECT: the first decision
Wired PoE: CP925 and CP965
If there's a data point under the table or a floor box, wire it. One network cable gives the phone power over Ethernet and the most reliable connection, and nobody has to remember to charge it. The CP925 runs on a standard 802.3af PoE port. The CP965 needs a class 4 PoE port, so check your switch's budget, or use Yealink's optional YLPOE30 PoE adapter. Both include a 7.5 m Cat5e cable in the box. See our guide to running Yealink phones on UniFi and MikroTik networks for PoE budgets and voice VLANs.
Wi-Fi: CP935W
The CP935W registers its SIP account straight over Wi-Fi (2.4 and 5 GHz) and runs on its own 7800 mAh battery, with up to 15 hours of talk time and 75 hours of standby. It sits back on its charging cradle between meetings, and a full charge takes about four hours. It suits heritage-listed offices, leased floors where you can't core-drill the floor, and boardroom tables that get moved for training days.
DECT: CP935W-Base
The CP935W-Base kit pairs the same phone with a Yealink W70B DECT base. Yealink quotes DECT coverage of up to 50 m indoors and standby of up to 167 hours in DECT mode, and the phone can be switched between DECT and Wi-Fi mode. The W70B also takes up to 10 handsets, so a small office can run its DECT cordless phones and its meeting room phone from one base. The CP935W-Base kit is in our online shop.

Microphones and pickup: how big is the room?
Every model picks up voices through 360°, with a maximum range of about 6 m (20 feet). The difference is how many microphones do the work:
- CP925: six pickup microphones plus one dedicated noise-reduction mic.
- CP935W and CP935W-Base: six microphones arranged along the Y-shaped body.
- CP965: twelve pickup microphones placed in each "foot" and the centre, plus one noise-reduction mic. Yealink rates it at 4 m for high-quality pickup and 6 m at most, and it takes expansion microphones for longer tables.
All of them use Yealink Noise Proof Technology and Smart Noise Filtering. These mute the microphones when nobody is talking and turn down background noise such as air-conditioning, rain on a tin roof or a coffee machine next door when they are.

Bigger rooms: CP965 with CPW65 or CPE95 expansion mics
The CP965 is the only current model that takes extra microphones. Yealink allows two expansion mics per CP965, and there are two kinds:
- CPW65 wireless DECT mics: each has 3 microphones with 3 m (10 ft) of 360° pickup, works up to 20 m from the CP965, and gives up to 13 hours of talk time and 11 days of standby from a 1500 mAh battery. They come as a pair with a charging cradle. Use them where you can't run cables along the table.
- CPE95 wired mics: 3 m of 360° pickup each, on a 3 m cable into the CP965's USB-A port. Yealink says a CP965 with two CPE95s covers a table about 10 m long. Wired mics never need charging, which suits a boardroom that's used all day. The CPE95 needs current CP965 firmware, and it isn't in our online shop yet, so ask us for it.
For the largest rooms, Yealink's datasheet lists a star connection of up to four CP965 phones (one master and three slaves) over a wired network, each with two expansion mics. Beyond that, a ceiling microphone system is usually the tidier answer. See our SkySound CM20 vs CM50 guide.

Microsoft Teams: CP965 Teams Edition
The CP965 Microsoft Teams Edition uses the same hardware as the CP965 (12 + 1 microphones, 5-inch screen, PoE) but runs the Microsoft Teams interface instead of SIP firmware. It syncs with the Outlook calendar so people can tap to join the next meeting, and it supports single sign-in, visual voicemail and Teams Phone calling to the public network (cloud PSTN). IT can manage it through Microsoft's or Yealink's device management platform.
Choose the Teams Edition when the room's job is Teams meetings. If your phone system is 3CX or a hosted PBX, choose the standard CP965. Every model can also act as a Bluetooth or USB speakerphone for a laptop, so a SIP room can still host a Teams call from someone's PC.

Hybrid meetings and the analogue line
All current models support Yealink's Hybrid UC mode. Pair a mobile over Bluetooth 4.2 or plug a laptop into the USB-C port, and the conference phone becomes the room's microphone and speaker for a Teams, Zoom or Google Meet call, or bridges a mobile caller into a SIP conference. The CP965 adds a USB-A port for the CPE95 mics and the CPN10.
The CP925, CP935W and CP965 can also take Yealink's CPN10 adapter to add an analogue PSTN line. Yealink lists a 3-way local PSTN conference on the CP925 and CP965. That's useful in a site office or regional branch that keeps a copper or NBN UNI-V voice line as a backup.
Security and management
The CP925, CP935W and CP965 support TLS 1.3, SRTP voice encryption, AES-256 encrypted configuration files, secure boot and OpenVPN. The CP925 and CP965 also support WPA3 on Wi-Fi. All of them provision over HTTPS, PnP, TR-069 or Yealink's device management platform, so an MSP can ship a phone to a branch and have it register on first boot. If your IT provider works to the ACSC Essential Eight, central firmware updates through YMCS or YDMP make the phones much easier to keep patched.

What happened to the CP930W?
The CP930W (sold as the CP930W-Base kit) was Yealink's earlier DECT conference phone. It had three microphone arrays, a 3.1-inch 248 x 120 mono LCD with a touch keypad, and up to 24 hours of talk time. Yealink now lists it as an end-of-sale product and names the CP935W-Base as its replacement. The newer phone adds a 4-inch colour touch screen, six microphones and Wi-Fi as well as DECT. If you already have CP930Ws, they keep working, and Yealink's end-of-life policy covers bug fixes for a period after end of sale. For new rooms, buy the CP935W or CP935W-Base. We have a small amount of CP930W stock left for like-for-like replacements.
When a speakerphone or a video bar is the better buy
A conference phone makes sense when the room has its own phone number on your SIP or Teams system. Two other kinds of device take over in other cases:
- USB and Bluetooth speakerphones such as the Yealink SP92, SP96 and the portable CP700 plug into a laptop and take the laptop's call. They have no SIP account and no PoE. They suit hot-desks, focus rooms and staff who move between sites.
- Video bars put a camera, microphones and speakers in one device for rooms with a screen. See MeetingBar A10 vs A20 vs A25 for huddle rooms, the MeetingBar A40 review for medium rooms, and the BYOD solution guide for laptop-driven rooms.
Which conference phone for which Australian workplace?

Replacing an older Yealink conference phone
Several popular Yealink conference phones are now end of sale. Here is how they map to the current range:
| If you have | Consider | What you gain |
|---|---|---|
| CP920 | CP925 | 4" colour touch screen, 7-mic array, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2 |
| CP930W / CP930W-Base | CP935W-Base (or CP935W on Wi-Fi) | Colour touch screen, 6 mics, DECT or Wi-Fi |
| CP960 | CP965 | 13-mic array, 5" screen, CPW65 / CPE95 expansion mics |
| CP960 Microsoft Teams Edition | CP965 Teams Edition | Current Teams-certified hardware, 13-mic array |
| CP900 USB speakerphone | SP92 or SP96 | Current USB-C / Bluetooth speakerphones |
End-of-sale status is from Yealink's EoS product list. Upgrade mapping is an ARC IP Networks suggestion. The CP960's CPW90 and CPE90 mics are made for the CP960; the CP965 uses the CPW65 and CPE95.

Does it work with my phone system?
The CP925, CP935W, CP935W-Base and CP965 are open SIP phones. Each registers one SIP account, the way a meeting-room extension usually works, and they work with 3CX, FreePBX/Asterisk, Broadsoft-based platforms and the hosted PBX and SIP trunk services from Australian NBN and business-voice providers. They support BLF, intercom, multicast paging, XML/LDAP phonebooks and call recording.
The CP965 Teams Edition is for Microsoft Teams only. For Teams desk phones, see our guide to Yealink MP-series Teams phones.
A conference phone can dial 000 like any extension. Make sure your PBX or hosted provider has the meeting room's street address registered for emergency calls, especially for a Wi-Fi phone that moves between rooms or floors.

Common questions
Straight answers from the ARC IP Networks team. Last reviewed October 2026.
It depends on the room. The CP965 is the flagship, with a 12 + 1 microphone array, a 5-inch screen and support for two expansion mics, so it suits boardrooms. The CP925 is the wired choice for small to medium rooms. The CP935W is the cable-free choice, with Wi-Fi and a built-in battery.
Both have a 4-inch 480 x 800 touch screen and 6 m 360-degree pickup. The CP925 is wired, powered by PoE, and has 6 microphones plus a noise-reduction mic. The CP935W has 6 microphones, registers over Wi-Fi and runs on a 7800 mAh battery with up to 15 hours of talk time.
A kit that pairs the CP935W conference phone with a Yealink W70B DECT base station. The phone connects over DECT, with Yealink quoting up to 50 m of indoor coverage and up to 167 hours of standby in DECT mode, and it can also be switched to Wi-Fi mode.
Yes. Yealink lists the CP930W-Base on its end-of-sale product list and recommends the CP935W-Base as the replacement. Existing CP930W phones keep working and are covered by Yealink's end-of-life support policy for a period after end of sale.
Only the CP965. It takes two expansion microphones: CPW65 wireless DECT mics (3 m pickup each, up to 20 m from the phone) or CPE95 wired mics (3 m pickup on a 3 m cable). The CP925 and CP935W have no expansion mic option.
The CP965 Microsoft Teams Edition runs the native Teams interface with tap-to-join from the Outlook calendar. The standard CP965 is a SIP phone for 3CX and hosted PBX systems, but it can act as a USB or Bluetooth speakerphone for a laptop running Teams.
The CP925 needs 802.3af PoE (class 3) and the CP965 needs class 4 PoE, or Yealink's optional YLPOE30 PoE adapter. The CP935W and CP935W-Base run on a built-in battery and charge on a cradle, so they need no cable at the table.
All current models pick up voices through 360 degrees to a maximum of about 6 m. Yealink rates the CP965 at 4 m for high-quality pickup, and each expansion mic adds another 3 m radius.
Yes. The CP925, CP935W, CP935W-Base and CP965 are standard SIP phones that work with 3CX, FreePBX/Asterisk, Broadsoft-based platforms and Australian hosted PBX and SIP trunk providers, with HTTPS, PnP and TR-069 auto-provisioning.
ARC IP Networks stocks the Yealink CP925, CP935W, CP965, CP965 Teams Edition and CPW65 expansion mics as genuine Australian stock with the full manufacturer's warranty, and can supply the CP935W-Base and CPE95 to order. It delivers Australia-wide, issues a GST tax invoice on every order and offers trade pricing to installers and MSPs. Order at arcip.com.au or call 1300 100 440.
