The Yealink W70B is the single-cell DECT base station behind the W73P and W76P cordless systems. It plugs into your network, registers to your VoIP provider or PBX with up to 10 SIP accounts, and supports up to 10 handsets and 20 simultaneous calls. It works with the W73H, W78H, W56H, W57R and W59R handsets and the CP930W and CP935W conference phones.
ARC IP Networks is a trusted Yealink supplier in Australia: genuine Yealink stock with the full manufacturer's warranty, delivered Australia-wide at competitive prices, with local pre-sales help for businesses, installers and IT providers.
What the W70B does
A DECT base is the bridge between your phone system and cordless handsets. The W70B registers to the PBX like a desk phone, then each handset registers to the base over DECT. Calls, transfers, the shared directory and voicemail indicators all work on the handsets as they would on a desk phone, and every handset can hold two calls at once.

Which handsets to pair
- W73H: the standard office handset. Slim colour-screen design, up to 35 hours talk and 400 hours standby, DECT encryption, 3.5 mm headset jack.
- W56H: 2.4" colour screen with hands-free speaker; the handset in the W76P bundle.
- W78H: the newer premium handset for the W70B.
- W57R: rugged IP54 handset with vibration alert for warehouses and kitchens.
- W59R: rugged IP67 handset for wet and dusty sites.
- CP930W and CP935W: DECT conference phones that register to the same base, so a meeting room needs no cable.
Mix freely: an office can run W73H handsets for staff, a W57R for the warehouse and a CP930W in the meeting room on one W70B.
Range and placement
Mount the base centrally and high, away from metal cabinets and Wi-Fi access points. Yealink rates the W70B for office-scale coverage: tens of metres through typical partitions and considerably more in open space, with the exact figure depending on the building. If one base cannot cover the site, add a Yealink DECT repeater, or move to the W75, W80 or W90 multi-cell systems, which use the same handsets and let users roam between bases mid-call.
Setup in Australia
- Connect the W70B to a PoE port (or use the included adapter).
- Give your VoIP provider or PBX administrator the base's MAC address for auto-provisioning, or enter the SIP accounts in the web interface.
- Press the registration button on the base and register each handset from its menu.
- Assign SIP accounts to handsets (one extension per handset, or shared lines) in the base's web interface.
- Check coverage by walking the site on a call before mounting anything permanently.

Up to 10 handsets or DECT headsets per base, with up to 20 simultaneous calls and 10 SIP accounts.
The W73H, W78H, W53H, W56H, W57R and W59R handsets, plus the CP930W and CP935W DECT conference phones. Different handset types can be mixed on one base.
Yes, it supports PoE (IEEE 802.3af, Class 1). A 5 V power adapter is included in the box for sites without PoE switches.
The W70B is the base station alone. The W73P is the W70B bundled with a W73H handset, and the W76P is the W70B bundled with a 2.4-inch colour handset. All share the same base.
Yealink rates it for office-scale coverage: tens of metres through typical office walls and considerably more in open space, depending on the building. A DECT repeater or a W75/W80/W90 multi-cell system extends coverage.
The W70B itself is a single-cell base. For roaming across multiple bases, Yealink's W75, W80 and W90 multi-cell systems use the same W73H, W56H, W57R and W59R handsets, so handsets carry over.
