The best Yealink headset depends on what it plugs into and how far you walk on a call. For desk-phone users who move around the office, choose a DECT headset: the WH64 (DECT plus Bluetooth for your mobile) suits most staff, the 16 g convertible WH63 E2 suits reception, and the WH68 adds hybrid active noise cancelling (ANC) for loud floors. For hybrid and mobile staff on a laptop and mobile, choose Bluetooth: the BH74 for most people, the 18 g BH71 Pro earpiece for field staff, and the BH76 Plus or new BH78 for the strongest ANC. For call centres and hot desks, a wired USB headset (UH34, UH42, UH44, UH46, or the ANC UH48) has no battery to charge, and the YHS34 and YHS36 E2 plug straight into a Yealink desk phone's headset port. The SP92 and SP96 speakerphones cover huddles.
Quick pick: WH63 E2 for reception, WH64 for office staff, WH68 Workstation for team leaders and executives, BH74 for hybrid workers, BH71 Pro for field staff, UH34 or UH44 for call-centre agents. Most models come in a Microsoft Teams (MS) or UC edition. ARC IP Networks is a trusted Yealink supplier in Australia: genuine Yealink stock at competitive prices, with the full manufacturer's warranty and Australia-wide delivery.

DECT vs Bluetooth vs wired: which type do you need?
Three questions settle it: what does the headset connect to, how far does the user walk on a call, and who charges it.
- Choose DECT if the user takes most calls on a desk phone or softphone at a fixed desk, but walks to a colleague, the printer or the kitchen mid-call. DECT runs on its own band (1880 to 1900 MHz in Australia), separate from Wi-Fi, so a floor full of headsets doesn't fight the office network.
- Choose Bluetooth if the user lives on a laptop and mobile, works from home part of the week or travels. One headset follows them from the office to the train to the kitchen table.
- Choose wired if the seat never moves and calls run all day: contact centres, helpdesks, hot desks and training rooms. Nothing to charge, nothing to pair, and spares are cheap.

Yealink DECT headsets: WH62 to WH68
Every WH headset talks to its own base (or a WDD60 USB dongle on the Hybrid versions), and every base connects to a PC and a Yealink IP phone by USB, with answer, end and mute from the headset. The Workstation versions of the WH64 and WH68 swap the plain base for a 4-inch touch-screen console with a speakerphone and USB hub; the Hybrid versions drop the base for the pocket-sized dongle.

From Yealink's WH-series datasheets; open-space range. The WH62 is not in our online shop and the WH66 is shown for existing fleets, so call us for availability.
The short version: WH63 E2 for light, one-ear reception work; WH64 as the everyday office standard; WH68 when the room is loud. For full specs, the Hybrid and Workstation tables, telephone cables for Cisco, Avaya and Poly phones, and the EHS62 adapter, read our DECT headsets compared guide.

Yealink Bluetooth headsets: BH70 to BH78
All five current families use Bluetooth 5.3 and hold two devices at once (for example your laptop and your mobile). They differ mainly in wearing style and active noise cancelling.

| Model | Style | ANC | Mics | Talk time | Range | Editions |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| BH70 | Mono or dual headband | No | 3 | Up to 35 h | 50 m | Teams or UC |
| BH71 | 18 g mono earpiece (Pro case or Workstation) | No | 4 | 10 h (+20 h case) | 40 m | One version |

| BH78 | Stereo over-ear, foldable | Adaptive hybrid | 6 | Up to 38 h | 50 m | UC-certified |
From Yealink's BH-series datasheets. Talk times measured with ANC and busylight off where fitted.
The BH72 has dropped out of Yealink's range; the BH74 replaces it with hybrid ANC and six microphones. The BH78 is the 2026 flagship, with adaptive ANC, a hidden boom and the BHC78 wireless charging stand in the box. Yealink lists it as UC-certified and compatible with 100+ platforms, but there is no Teams-certified BH78 edition. Yealink has also launched the budget ZenOffice32, which we do not list online yet. Charging stands, the BT51 dongle and BH71 Workstation details are in our Bluetooth headsets compared guide.
Wired Yealink headsets: UH34 to UH48, YHS34 and YHS36 E2
Wired headsets win wherever a seat never moves. Yealink now has two generations of USB headset: the proven UH34 family and the newer UH4x range (UH42, UH44, UH46 and UH48), which adds USB-C with a USB-A adapter, Acoustic Shield 3.0 voice isolation and more microphones as you step up. The YHS models use a QD-to-RJ9 cable for the headset port on Yealink desk phones instead of USB.

| UH46 | USB-C with USB-A adapter | 3 | Dual busylights, lift boom to mute, AU G616 | 127 / 166 g | Teams or UC |
| UH48 | USB-C with USB-A adapter | 6 | Hybrid ANC, dual busylights, AU G616 | Dual only, 169 g | Teams or UC |
| YHS34 | QD to RJ9 (desk phone) | 1 | 28 mm speaker; Lite has foam cushions | Not listed | Follows the phone |
| YHS36 E2 | QD to RJ9 (desk phone) | 1 | 35 mm speakers, 300° boom | 81 / 129 g | Follows the phone |
From Yealink's UH and YHS datasheets and product pages. Yealink's UH48 datasheet counts 6 microphones; its product page describes the 4-mic voice pickup array.
How to choose: the UH34 (or the lighter UH34 Lite) remains the value pick for big agent floors. Step to the UH44 or UH46 for better voice pickup and a busylight that stops colleagues interrupting, and to the UH48 when agents need ANC to hear the caller over the room. Yealink says the UH48 is certified for Microsoft Teams Premium Open Office. The UH34 SE, with USB-C and 3.5 mm through a detachable controller, is covered in our UH34 and UH37 wired headsets guide, and full agent and supervisor kits are in the call centre headsets and phones guide.

Speakerphones: SP92 vs SP96
Not every call needs a headset. A USB and Bluetooth speakerphone turns a laptop into a small conference phone for a huddle room, a shared office or a hotel desk.
| SP92 | SP96 | |
|---|---|---|
| Voice pickup | Up to 4 m, AI noise cancellation | Up to 5 m, 6 microphones, AI noise cancellation |
| Speaker | 50 mm | 65 mm, virtual bass |
| Talk time | Up to 20 h | Up to 26 h |
| Connection | USB-C cable, BT51-C dongle, Bluetooth 5.3 | USB-C cable, BT51-C dongle, Bluetooth 5.3 |
| Extras | Carry case | LCD screen; link two SP96 wirelessly (Yealink says up to 20 people) |
| Weight | 276 g | 400 g |
From Yealink's SP92 and SP96 datasheets. "-D" versions include the BT51-C dongle.
Pick the SP92 for a desk, a home office or travel, and the SP96 for a small meeting table, or link two SP96 for a longer one. Yealink's CP700 is not stocked online. For a permanent meeting room, a conference phone or video bar is the better buy.

Teams (MS) or UC edition?
Most Yealink headsets come in two editions with identical hardware. The Teams (MS) edition is certified for Microsoft Teams and has a Teams button that opens Teams and joins meetings. The UC edition is tuned for other platforms: 3CX, Zoom, Google Meet, Webex, RingCentral and the softphones from Australian hosted PBX providers. Both work as a standard USB audio device on any platform; the difference is the certified button and call-control integration.
| Editions | Models |
|---|---|
| Teams (MS) or UC | WH63 E2, WH64, WH64 Hybrid, WH67, WH68, BH70, BH74, BH76 Plus, UH34, UH34 Lite, UH34 SE, UH37, UH42, UH44, UH46, UH48 |
| UC-certified only | BH78 (no Teams edition); WH66 (UC edition in our shop) |
| Teams edition stocked | UH35 |
| Single version | BH71 Pro and Workstation, WH64 Workstation, WH68 Workstation, WH68 Hybrid, SP92, SP96; check the product page for certification |
| Follows the desk phone | YHS34 and YHS36 E2 (QD to RJ9); they work with Yealink SIP phones and Yealink MP-series Teams phones |
Editions as listed in Yealink's product codes and on our product pages.
Rule of thumb: if your organisation runs Microsoft Teams Phone, buy MS. If calls go through 3CX, a hosted PBX or Zoom, buy UC. Mixed fleets are fine, because cushions, stands and dongles are shared. Using a Teams desk phone as well? See our Yealink Teams and Zoom phones guide.

Mono or dual?
Mono (one ear) leaves the other ear open to the room, so it suits reception, pharmacies, retail counters and anyone who has to hear the person in front of them. Dual (both ears) blocks more of the room and suits open-plan floors, contact centres and long video meetings. Yealink marks this in the code: M for mono and D for dual (for example WH64-M-UC or UH44-D-UC-C/A). The WH63 E2 and WH67 are mono only; the WH68, BH74, BH76 Plus, BH78 and UH48 are dual only.
Connecting a headset to a desk phone
Yealink T3, T4, T5 and T8 Series phones with a USB port take a WH DECT base or a UH wired headset directly, with answer and hang-up from the headset. Phones with built-in Bluetooth (such as the T54W, T57W and T8 Series) pair a BH headset directly. YHS headsets plug into the RJ9 headset port. For Cisco, Avaya, Poly, Mitel or Unify phones, a WH base connects with a Yealink telephone cable plus the EHS62 hook-switch adapter for remote answer. To connect a Jabra, Poly (Plantronics) or Sennheiser wireless headset to a Yealink phone, use the EHS40.
Two Australian details that matter
- Buy Australian stock DECT headsets. Australia uses the 1880 to 1900 MHz DECT band. A grey-import WH headset built for another region's band may not be legal or reliable here.
- Hearing protection. Every WH model, plus the BH70, BH74, BH78, UH34 and UH4x range, lists the Australian G616 acoustic safety guideline alongside EN 50332 peak-block and daily noise-exposure protection. That helps employers documenting WHS controls for staff on the phone all day.

Common questions
Straight answers from the ARC IP Networks team. Last reviewed October 2026.
It depends on the job. For desk-phone users who move around the office, the Yealink WH64 DECT headset suits most staff, the WH63 E2 suits reception and the WH68 suits loud floors. For hybrid workers, the BH74 Bluetooth headset is the best all-rounder, with the BH76 Plus or BH78 for stronger noise cancelling. For call centres and hot desks, wired USB headsets such as the UH34, UH44 or UH46 are the most economical.
DECT is better for desk-based staff who mainly use a desk phone or softphone and walk around the building on calls: it has much longer range (up to 185 m in open space on the WH64 and WH68) and runs on its own band, clear of Wi-Fi. Bluetooth is better for people who move between a laptop, a mobile and home, because one headset follows them everywhere.
Yes, for seats that never move. A wired Yealink UH or YHS headset has no battery to charge or replace, nothing to pair, and costs the least per seat, which is why contact centres, helpdesks, hot desks and training rooms still standardise on them.
Teams (MS) editions are available for the WH63 E2, WH64, WH67, WH68, BH70, BH74, BH76 Plus, UH34, UH35, UH37, UH42, UH44, UH46 and UH48. The new BH78 is UC-certified only, with no Teams edition. Teams editions add a Teams button; UC editions suit 3CX, Zoom and hosted PBX softphones.
For active noise cancelling you hear, the BH78 (adaptive hybrid ANC), BH76 Plus and BH74 lead the Bluetooth range, the WH68 family leads DECT, and the UH48 is the wired option with hybrid ANC. Every other model uses noise-cancelling microphones, which clean up your voice for the caller but do not cancel noise for the wearer.
Yes. The WH64 and WH68 DECT headsets connect to a Yealink desk phone and a PC through the base, and to a mobile over Bluetooth in the headset. The BH71 Workstation does the same from its desk station. Bluetooth headsets also pair directly with Yealink phones that have built-in Bluetooth, such as the T54W, T57W and T8 Series.
Yealink no longer lists the BH72 in its Bluetooth headset range. The BH74 is the closest replacement: it adds hybrid active noise cancelling, has 6 microphones instead of 2 and is lighter.
They are QD wired headsets that plug into the RJ9 headset port on Yealink desk phones with a QD-to-RJ9 cable, rather than into USB. They suit desk-phone-only seats on a budget. The YHS36 E2 is the current version, with 35 mm speakers and a noise-cancelling microphone.
Yealink's datasheets list Australian G616 acoustic protection, alongside EN 50332 peak-block and daily noise-exposure protection, for the WH DECT range, the BH70, BH74 and BH78, the UH34 and the UH42, UH44, UH46 and UH48.
