Yealink's current Bluetooth headset range has five families. The BH70 (mono or dual) is the everyday office headset, with 3 noise-cancelling microphones and up to 35 hours' talk time but no ANC. The BH71 is an 18 g mono earpiece for mobile and field staff, sold as the BH71 Pro with a charging case or the BH71 Workstation with a desk station that also connects to a desk phone. The BH74 adds hybrid active noise cancelling (ANC) to a light 152 g stereo headset. The BH76 Plus is the premium over-ear model with three ANC modes, a retractable boom and Qi wireless charging. The new BH78 (2026) adds adaptive hybrid ANC, a foldable frame, 38 hours' talk time and a wireless charging stand in the box. The BH72 has been dropped from Yealink's range; the BH74 replaces it.
Quick pick: BH70 for contact centres and large rollouts, BH71 Pro for sales reps, tradies and anyone on the road, BH71 Workstation for staff who juggle a desk phone, PC and mobile, BH74 for hybrid office workers, BH76 Plus or BH78 for noisy open-plan floors and frequent flyers. ARC IP Networks stocks the range in Australia: genuine Yealink stock with the full manufacturer's warranty, delivered Australia-wide.

Yealink Bluetooth headsets at a glance
Every current model uses Bluetooth 5.3, connects to two devices at once (multipoint) and remembers up to eight. The real differences are wearing style, active noise cancelling, how it charges and how many microphones pick up your voice.

Figures from Yealink's official datasheets. Talk times are measured with ANC and busylight off where the headset has them; music times with ANC off. Yealink's BH78 page quotes 38 h with ANC on. The BH74 and BH78 datasheets count 6 microphones in total; Yealink describes 4 of them as the voice-pickup array.
Noise cancelling: the biggest difference between the models
There are two kinds of noise cancelling, and buyers often mix them up:
- Microphone noise cancelling (Yealink calls it Acoustic Shield) cleans up your voice for the person you're talking to. Every model here has it. More microphones generally means better isolation from keyboards, coffee machines and the colleague on speaker two desks over.
- Active noise cancelling (ANC) cuts the noise that you hear. Only the BH74, BH76 Plus and BH78 have it.
The three ANC models differ in how clever the ANC is. The BH74 has hybrid ANC (feedforward and feedback microphones) with an ambient-sound mode. The BH76 Plus adds a choice of medium or high ANC plus ambient, and its over-ear cushions seal out more noise passively. Yealink quotes an average 35 dB reduction with ANC and the cushions together. The BH78 brings adaptive hybrid ANC: hold the button for 1.5 seconds and the headset tunes the depth of cancelling to the room, reducing noise by up to 35 dB across low, mid and high frequencies. It also has voice passthrough, so you can hear a colleague without taking the headset off.
The BH70 and BH71 have no ANC. On a quiet floor or in a home office that's fine, and it keeps the price and weight down.

What's new in the BH78
The Yealink BH78 is Yealink's newest Bluetooth headset, launched in 2026 and aimed squarely at hybrid workers. Beyond the adaptive ANC, it has:
- A hidden, flexible boom arm that tucks away when you're not on a call, so it passes for an everyday headphone on the train.
- A foldable frame that halves its size for a laptop bag.
- The longest battery in the range: up to 38 hours' talk and 120 hours' music, and a 5-minute fast charge gives about 4 hours of talk time, by Yealink's figures.
- Everything in the box: the BHC78 wireless charging stand, BT51-C dongle, USB-C/A adapter, carrying case and a USB-C to 3.5 mm cable for a wired connection.
ARC IP Networks stocks a single BH78 version, BH78-CH-C/A, with the charging stand included. Yealink lists it as compatible with 100+ calling platforms.
Mono, dual or earpiece: which wearing style?
Mono (one ear) keeps the other ear free for the room. It suits reception, medical and dental front desks and anyone who has to hear the person standing at the counter. The BH70 mono weighs 91 g. Dual (stereo) blocks more of the room and suits open-plan offices and long calls; the BH70 dual weighs 147 g, and the BH74, BH76 Plus and BH78 are all stereo.
The BH71 is different again: an 18 g earpiece with an adjustable ear hook and a boom, the classic "road warrior" style. It disappears into a shirt pocket and suits places where a headband is impractical, from the car park to the site office.
The BH71 family: Pro, Workstation and Workstation Pro
Every BH71 uses the same 18 g earpiece with 4-mic beamforming (Yealink says it removes 90% of background noise from your side of the call), 10 hours' talk time and a 40 m range. What changes is what comes with it:
| Version | What's in the box | Who it suits |
|---|---|---|
| BH71 Pro | Earpiece, BHC71P charging case (adds about 20 h), USB dongle | Field sales, real estate agents, site supervisors, travellers |
| BH71 Workstation | Earpiece and BHB710 desk station | Desk-based staff with a desk phone, PC and mobile |
| BH71 Workstation Pro | Earpiece, desk station, charging case and USB dongle | Executives who work at a desk and on the road |
From Yealink's BH71 datasheet. Yealink also makes a BH71 Lite and a base BH71 with a non-charging carry case; ARC IP Networks stocks the Pro and Workstation versions.
The Workstation station is more than a charger. It connects to a desk phone, a PC and a mobile at the same time, and has a 3-inch touch screen, a built-in speakerphone, three USB 3.0 ports and a Qi wireless charger for your mobile. Yealink says that with an EHS cable or the BT51-C dongle it also works with desk phones from Avaya, Cisco, Poly, Unify, Mitel, Snom and Grandstream, so it suits an office still on an older handset fleet.

Charging stands, cases and "CH" versions
Several models come in two versions: headset only, or headset with a charging stand (the "CH" product codes). Buy the stand version for anyone at a fixed desk. Docking the headset at the end of the day means it's always charged, and staff stop leaving it on a USB cable that walks off.
- BH70: optional charging stand. Buy it in the box (BH70 dual with stand, BH70 mono with stand) or add it later (CH-BH70/WH64-H).
- BH74: optional stand, bundled in BH74-CH-MS-C/A and BH74-CH-UC-C/A, or sold separately as CH-BH74/WH68-H.
- BH76 Plus: the BHC76 is a Qi wireless stand that also charges a Qi mobile. It's bundled in BH76-P-CH-MS-C/A and BH76-P-CH-UC-C/A.
- BH78: the BHC78 wireless charging stand is always in the box.
- BH71: the Pro charges in its pocket-sized case; the Workstation docks on its desk station.

Teams or UC edition: which should you buy?
The BH70, BH74 and BH76 Plus come in two editions with the same hardware:
- Teams (MS) edition: certified for Microsoft Teams, with a dedicated Teams button for certified Teams call control. Yealink says the BH74 Teams edition is certified for Microsoft Teams Premium Open Office. Codes include "MS", for example BH74-MS-C/A.
- UC edition: for Zoom, Google Meet, 3CX, RingCentral, 8x8, GoTo and other softphones. Codes include "UC", for example BH74-UC-C/A.
Both editions make and take calls on any platform as a standard audio device. The difference is the certified button and call-control integration. If your business runs on Microsoft 365 and Teams Phone, buy the Teams edition. If you use 3CX, a hosted PBX softphone or Zoom, buy the UC edition. Mixed fleets are fine: the hardware, charging stands and spare parts are the same.
The BT51 dongle, USB-C and USB-A
The BH70, BH74, BH76 Plus and BH78 ship with the BT51-C USB-C Bluetooth dongle and a USB-C to USB-A adapter, which is what "C/A" in the product codes means. The dongle gives the laptop a dedicated Bluetooth link to the headset, without relying on the laptop's own Bluetooth. That matters for call quality and for locked-down corporate laptops where Bluetooth settings are restricted. The adapter lets the same dongle fit an older USB-A port or a docking station.
Lost dongles are the most common support call with any Bluetooth headset. A spare BT51-C costs far less than a new headset, so keep a few in the IT cupboard. A USB-A version, BT51-A, is also available.

Can a Yealink Bluetooth headset connect to a desk phone?
Yes, in three ways:
- Built-in Bluetooth on the phone. Yealink desk phones with Bluetooth, such as the T54W, T57W and the T8 Series, pair with any of these headsets directly. Because the headset holds two connections at once, it can stay connected to the desk phone and your mobile together.
- The dongle in the phone's USB port. Yealink says the BT51-C dongle with the USB-C/A adapter works with desk phones from several brands. Check your exact model with us first.
- The BH71 Workstation station, which is built for desk phone, PC and mobile at once (see above).
On a Microsoft Teams phone such as the Yealink MP54, MP56 or MP58, a Teams-edition headset gives the most consistent call control.
Battery life and range for a full working week
Every stereo model now lasts longer than a working week of calls for most people: 32 hours on the BH74, 35 on the BH70 and BH76 Plus, and 38 on the BH78. The BH71's small earpiece manages 10 hours, but the Pro's charging case adds another 20, which covers a long day of site visits and a flight home. Range is up to 40 to 50 metres from the dongle in ideal conditions; in a real office with walls and other wireless gear, plan on less.
Battery figures are Yealink's own test results. Real-world life depends on ANC, busylight, volume and battery age.
Hearing protection and Australian G616
The BH70, BH74 and BH78 datasheets list Australian G616 protection alongside EN 50332 peak-block protection and daily noise-exposure limiting. G616 is the Australian industry guideline for acoustic safety on telephone headsets, so these models suit employers documenting their WHS controls for staff who spend most of the day on calls, such as contact centres and helpdesks. The BH76 Plus datasheet lists EN 50332 peak-block protection.
Hybrid work and field staff in Australia
Hybrid workers splitting the week between a Sydney or Melbourne CBD office and home want one headset that works with the laptop dongle in both places and the mobile in between. The BH74 is the sensible standard issue. The BH76 Plus or BH78 suits people who also commute by train or tram and want ANC on the way.
Field staff such as sales reps, real estate agents, property managers, site supervisors and service technicians need something small, one-eared and long-lasting. The BH71 Pro's earpiece and case fit a pocket, the 4-mic array copes with wind and traffic, and one ear stays free to hear the site. If staff take calls while driving, use the vehicle's hands-free system or a mounted phone, and follow your state's road rules.
Fly-in fly-out and interstate travellers get the most from the BH78: foldable, adaptive ANC for the cabin, and 120 hours of music on a charge.

What happened to the BH72? And the new ZenOffice32
The BH72 was Yealink's mid-range stereo headset, with 2 microphones, a busylight and no ANC. Yealink no longer lists it in its Bluetooth headset range. The BH74 is the natural replacement: it's lighter (152 g against 192 g), adds hybrid ANC and has 6 microphones instead of 2. Existing BH72 owners can keep using their BHC76 stand and BT51 dongles.
Yealink has also launched the ZenOffice32, a budget Bluetooth headset for large deployments. It comes in mono and dual, with 2 AI noise-cancelling microphones, Bluetooth 6.1, up to 35 hours' talk time, a 50 m range and AU G616 protection, but no ANC. ARC IP Networks doesn't list it online yet; ask us if you're planning a large rollout and want it quoted against the BH70.

Do Yealink Bluetooth headsets work with my phone system?
Yes. They connect to a PC or Mac as a standard USB audio device through the dongle, and to mobiles and Bluetooth desk phones over Bluetooth, so they work with Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Google Meet, 3CX, RingCentral, hosted PBX softphones from Australian providers, and mobile calls. Yealink says its headsets are compatible with 100+ platforms. Teams-edition models add certified Teams call control, as explained above.
For IT teams, Yealink USB Connect (PC) and the Yealink Connect app (Android and iOS) handle firmware updates and settings, and fleets can be managed centrally through Yealink's cloud management service. Keeping headset firmware current is part of a sensible patching routine under the ACSC Essential Eight.

Common questions
Straight answers from the ARC IP Networks team. Last reviewed October 2026.
All four are Bluetooth 5.3 headsets with a BT51-C dongle and two-device multipoint. The BH70 has 3 microphones and no active noise cancelling. The BH74 adds hybrid ANC and 6 microphones in a light 152 g stereo headset. The BH76 Plus is a premium over-ear model with medium, high and ambient ANC modes, a retractable boom and Qi wireless charging. The BH78 adds adaptive hybrid ANC, a foldable frame, up to 38 hours of talk time and a wireless charging stand in the box.
Both use the same 18 g mono earpiece with 4 microphones and 10 hours of talk time. The BH71 Pro comes with a charging case that adds about 20 hours and a USB dongle. The BH71 Workstation comes with a desk station that connects to a desk phone, PC and mobile at once, with a 3-inch touch screen, speakerphone, USB hub and Qi phone charger. The Workstation Pro includes both the station and the charging case.
Yealink no longer lists the BH72 in its Bluetooth headset range. The BH74 is the closest replacement: it adds hybrid active noise cancelling, has 6 microphones instead of 2 and is lighter.
The BH78, with adaptive hybrid ANC that adjusts to the room and reduces noise by up to 35 dB, plus a 4-mic AI voice array. The BH76 Plus is close behind with manual medium and high ANC modes and over-ear cushions. The BH74 has hybrid ANC in a lighter headset. The BH70 and BH71 have microphone noise cancelling only, with no ANC.
Buy the Teams (MS) edition if your business uses Microsoft Teams, because it is Teams-certified and has a Teams button. Buy the UC edition for Zoom, Google Meet, 3CX or other softphones. The hardware is the same, and both work as a standard audio device on any platform.
Yes. Every current model holds two Bluetooth connections at once, so it can pair with a Yealink desk phone that has built-in Bluetooth, such as the T54W, T57W or T8 Series, and a mobile together. The BH71 Workstation connects to a desk phone, PC and mobile through its desk station.
The BT51 is a USB Bluetooth adapter supplied with the headset. It gives a PC or Mac a dedicated, reliable connection without using the computer's own Bluetooth. The BT51-C is USB-C and comes with a USB-C to USB-A adapter; spares are available if one is lost.
Yealink's datasheet quotes up to 38 hours of talk time, 120 hours of music with ANC off and up to 21 days of standby. A full charge takes up to 130 minutes, and Yealink says a 5-minute fast charge gives about 4 hours of talk time.
Bluetooth suits people who move between a laptop, a mobile and meeting rooms, and who work in the office and at home. DECT headsets such as the Yealink WH series suit desk-based staff who mainly use a desk phone and want to walk further around the building on calls.
ARC IP Networks stocks the Yealink BH70, BH71 Pro, BH71 Workstation, BH74, BH76 Plus and BH78, plus BT51 dongles and charging stands, as genuine Australian stock with the full manufacturer's warranty. It delivers Australia-wide, issues a GST tax invoice on every order and offers trade and project pricing. Order online at arcip.com.au or call 1300 100 440.
