Two 48 MP cameras give a 110° view with AI framing and speaker tracking, an 8-microphone array picks up to 6 metres, and two 10 W speakers fill the room. It runs native Microsoft Teams Rooms or Zoom Rooms, or works as a USB camera and speakerphone for any platform. The A40-031 bundle adds the CTP25 touch controller.

Who the A40 is for
Teams Rooms and Zoom Rooms
The A40 runs Microsoft's or Zoom's room software natively, so the room joins scheduled meetings with one tap on the CTP25 controller. It is managed from the Teams admin centre or Zoom Device Management like any other certified room device. Licensing: a Teams Rooms licence (Basic or Pro) or a Zoom Rooms licence per room.
Bring-your-own-device rooms
In General mode the A40 is a very good 4K USB camera and speakerphone. A laptop plugs in over USB-C and uses the bar for Teams, Zoom, Google Meet or Webex. This is the right mode for rooms used by visitors or for businesses that have not standardised on one platform.
Rooms that outgrow it
For boardrooms longer than the 6 m microphone reach, add VCM35/VCM36 table microphones or the CM20 ceiling microphone. For rooms beyond 12 people, look at Yealink's larger MeetingBar and MeetingBoard models.
A40-010 or A40-031?
The A40-010 is the bar with the VCR11 remote, which suits BYOD rooms and Zoom Rooms controlled from a laptop or tablet. The A40-031 adds the CTP25 touch panel, power supply and wall-mount bracket in one box, which is what a Teams Room needs for one-touch join. Most Teams Rooms deployments should buy the 031 bundle.
Installation notes
- Mount the bar at the top or bottom of the display; the wall-mount bracket is in the 031 bundle.
- Run one cable (VCH) to the CTP25 on the table; it carries power and data.
- Use the HDMI outputs for one or two displays.
- Add the WPP30 wireless presentation pod so guests can share a laptop screen without cables.
