Ruijie Reyee NBS managed switches are the step up from smart switches: Gigabit NBS3100 (Layer 2), NBS3200 (Layer 2+ with 10G SFP+ uplinks), NBS3300 (2.5G ports for Wi-Fi 6 and Wi-Fi 7 access points), and Layer 3 NBS5100 and NBS5200 with routing and a DHCP server. The NIS2100 industrial switches mount on a DIN rail and run from −40°C to +75°C. All carry a 5-year Ruijie warranty and free lifetime management on Ruijie Cloud.
Quick pick: 24-port office PoE → RG-NBS3100-24GT4SFP-P-V2; 10G to the server room → RG-NBS3200-24GT4XS-P-V2; Wi-Fi 7 access points → RG-NBS3300-8MG2XS-P; core with routing → RG-NBS5200-48GT4XS-UP; outdoor cabinet or plant room → RG-NIS2100-8GT2SFP-HP. ARC IP Networks is an authorised Ruijie reseller and supplies genuine Ruijie from Australian stock with a GST tax invoice.

Layer 2, Layer 2+ or Layer 3?
Layer 2 (NBS3100) switches move traffic within a network and handle VLANs, link aggregation and IGMP snooping: the right job for an access switch that connects desks, phones, cameras and access points. Layer 2+ (NBS3200 and NBS3300) adds faster 10G SFP+ uplinks and more advanced features, and Ruijie lists CPP on the NBS3300, which "protects the CPU from attacks".
Layer 3 (NBS5100 and NBS5200) switches route between VLANs themselves. Ruijie's datasheets list OSPFv2, OSPFv3 and a DHCP server on the NBS5100 and NBS5200, and not on the NBS3100, NBS3200 and NBS3300 datasheets. That suits a school, aged care home or multi-tenant office that splits staff, guests, CCTV and phones into separate VLANs and wants the switch, not the router, to route between them. The NBS5200 datasheets also list virtual switching (VCS) with 2 members, for two switches that act as one.
Uplinks: 1G SFP, 10G SFP+ and fibre between buildings
The uplink is the link from an access switch back to the core or server room. With 24 or 48 busy ports, a single Gigabit uplink can become the bottleneck. The NBS3200, NBS3300 and NBS5200 have 10G SFP+ uplinks; the NBS3100 and NBS5100 use 1G SFP. SFP ports also take fibre modules, so a switch in a second building, a shed or a demountable classroom can be linked by fibre rather than copper. See our Ruijie SFP modules, or Wi-Fi between buildings when trenching fibre is not practical. Ruijie's datasheets list ERPS for the NBS3100, NBS3200, NBS3300, NBS5100, NBS5200 and NIS2100 models we checked, so switches can be cabled in a ring that keeps working if one link is cut.

2.5G ports for Wi-Fi 6 and Wi-Fi 7 access points
Ruijie's pitch for the NBS3300 is that "2.5 Gbps ports smash the gigabit barrier and unlock the full potential of Wi-Fi 6/7 APs". An access point with a 2.5G port runs at Gigabit speed when plugged into a Gigabit switch port, so the switch decides how much of the access point you can use. The RG-NBS3300-8MG2XS-P has 8 x 2.5G PoE+ ports, 2 x 10G SFP+ and a 240 W budget; the RG-NBS3300-16MG4XS-HP has 16 x 2.5G ports (4 of them PoE++), 4 x 10G SFP+ and 370 W. For a smaller office, the cloud-managed RG-ES209MG-P gives 8 x 2.5G PoE+ and a 10G SFP+ uplink. Pair them with the access points in Reyee access points compared.
PoE budgets and PoE++
Most 24- and 48-port PoE models share 370 W across their ports; the NBS3100-48GT4SFP-P-V2 allows up to 30 W on each port. If you are powering many high-draw devices (PTZ cameras, Wi-Fi 7 access points, video phones), add up their maximum draw and compare it with the budget. The RG-NBS5200-48GT4XS-UP doubles the budget to 740 W and has 8 PoE++ (IEEE 802.3bt) ports. Our what PoE switch do I need guide explains PoE classes and how to size a budget.
NIS2100 industrial switches: built for the cabinet, not the comms room
Australian sites put network gear in hot, dusty places: roadside and car park cabinets, pump sheds on a farm, factory floors and poles on a construction site. Ruijie's RG-NIS2100-8GT2SFP-HP and RG-NIS2100-4GT2SFP-HP are built for that:
- −40°C to +75°C operation, with a full aluminium casing and a fanless design.
- IP40 protection against 1 mm solid particles, 6 kV surge protection and EMC Level 4 against electromagnetic interference.
- DIN rail or wall mounting; Ruijie says the compact design fits into a waterproof outdoor box.
- 90 W PoE output on one PoE++ port for a high-power device such as a PTZ camera or outdoor access point.
- A DIP switch for instant ERPS configuration, so a ring of cabinets recovers if a link fails.
The NIS2100-8 takes 46 V to 57 V DC from a DIN-rail power supply, such as our RG-NIS-PA240-54 or RG-NIS-PA120-54 (54 V DC output). For outdoor CCTV on a pole, also see the IP65 switches in our Ruijie CCTV PoE switch guide.
Ruijie Cloud management and a 5-year warranty
Every NBS and NIS switch here can be managed for free on Ruijie Cloud: SON and zero-touch provisioning, VLANs configured from the Ruijie Reyee app, and switch statistics from anywhere, which Ruijie says simplifies maintenance and reduces onsite time and costs. The NBS3100 and NBS3200 also have IP camera recognition for CCTV networks. See Ruijie Cloud explained.
Ruijie's warranty summary lists 5 years for the NBS3100, NBS3200, NBS3300, NBS5100, NBS5200 and NIS2100 switches, and its datasheets quote an MTBF of 400,000 hours for the RG-NBS3100-48GT4SFP-P-V2 and RG-NBS3300-8MG2XS-P. Keep your tax invoice: Ruijie uses the invoice date as one of the documents that set the warranty start date. More in where to buy Ruijie in Australia.
