For an entry-level business phone in Australia, the Yealink T33G is the better buy for most desks: a 2.4" colour screen, 4 lines and dual Gigabit ports with PoE. The Yealink T31P costs less and suits lunchrooms, warehouses and desks that only make and take calls: 2 lines, a 2.3" backlit greyscale screen and dual 10/100 ports with PoE.
ARC IP Networks is a trusted Yealink supplier in Australia: genuine Yealink stock with the full manufacturer's warranty, delivered Australia-wide at competitive prices, with local pre-sales help for businesses, installers and IT providers.

The one spec that matters: Gigabit
If a PC shares the phone's network cable, a 10/100 phone caps the PC at 100 Mbps. The T31P is 10/100, so it belongs on desks where no computer is daisy-chained through it, or where 100 Mbps is fine. The T33G is Gigabit, which is why it is the safer choice for a general office desk even though it costs a little more.
Where each phone fits
T31P
- Lunchrooms, warehouses, workshops and meeting rooms
- Hotel rooms and accommodation
- Any desk without a PC behind the phone
- Large rollouts where a reliable two-line phone is all that is needed
T33G
- General staff desks with a PC on the phone's second port
- Small offices that want a colour screen without a mid-range price
- Users who want a wireless headset: the EHS35 adapter gives remote answer with Yealink DECT headsets
Moving up
When a desk needs more line keys or a bigger screen, the next steps are the T43U (12 lines, wired) and the T54W (16 lines, colour, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth). All of these phones sit happily on the same system, so start with T31P and T33G where they fit and upgrade individual desks later.

Yes. Both are standard SIP phones supported by Australian hosted VoIP providers, 3CX, FreePBX and UniFi Talk, and are usually auto-provisioned from the MAC address.
