For hotels, clubs, venues and aged-care homes, Yealink's strength is DECT that covers the whole site: a W70B base for a single building, or the W75, W80 and W90 multi-cell systems for a campus, with W73H handsets for office staff and rugged W57R (IP54) or W59R (IP67) handsets for kitchens, housekeeping, maintenance and care staff. Front desk and back office use T46U or T54W desk phones, and the T31P suits guest rooms and common areas.
ARC IP Networks is a trusted Yealink supplier in Australia: genuine Yealink stock with the full manufacturer's warranty, delivered Australia-wide at competitive prices, with local pre-sales help for businesses, installers and IT providers.
Where the phones live in a hospitality or care site
| Area | Yealink products | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Front desk / reception | T46U + EXP43, WH64 headset | See every line and department; hands-free at check-in |
| Back office, managers | T54W | Colour screen, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi where cabling is awkward |
| Housekeeping, maintenance, grounds | W57R or W59R on a W70B base | Rugged, splash and dust resistant, vibrate alert; reachable anywhere on site |
| Kitchen, bar, function rooms | W57R rugged handsets | Survive heat, steam and drops; heard over kitchen noise |
| Care staff (aged care) | W73H or W56H handsets | Light, long battery, two calls per handset for call-bell escalation workflows |
| Guest rooms, common areas, lifts lobbies | T31P | Inexpensive two-line phone with a backlit screen and PoE |
| Function and meeting rooms | CP930W | Cordless conference phone on the same DECT base |
Covering a large site with DECT
A single Yealink W70B base covers one building floor or a compact venue. Beyond that you have two options:
- Repeaters. The RT30 DECT repeater extends a W70B base into a dead spot (a second wing, a car park, a cellar) without a second base.
- Multi-cell DECT. Yealink's W75, W80 and W90 systems place several bases around a campus and hand calls between them as staff walk, exactly like mobile phone cells. The same W73H, W56H, W57R and W59R handsets are used, so you can start single-cell and grow into multi-cell without replacing handsets. Multi-cell systems need a DECT site survey; we can arrange one.
Aged care specifics
- Call-bell integration. Many nurse-call systems can send alerts as SIP calls or messages to DECT handsets; this is configured between the nurse-call vendor and your PBX, and Yealink handsets display the alert like a call. Confirm the integration with your nurse-call provider.
- Battery life. Handsets must last a shift. Yealink's current handsets are rated for well over a working day of talk time and charge in cradles that can be pooled at the nurses' station.
- Cleaning. Handsets and cradles wipe down; rugged W57R and W59R handsets tolerate frequent cleaning.
- Resident rooms. The T31P gives a simple, familiar phone with large keys, powered over PoE from the same network as the Wi-Fi.
Hospitality specifics
- Hotel guest phones. The T31P on a PoE switch is the usual choice; your PBX or hotel PMS integration handles wake-up calls and billing.
- Events. A CP930W or CP935W conference phone can be carried to whichever function room needs it.
- Outdoor areas. The IP67 W59R handles poolside, beer gardens and loading docks.

Common questions
Straight answers from the ARC IP Networks team. Last reviewed October 2026.
A Yealink DECT system: a W70B base for a single building, or the W75, W80 or W90 multi-cell systems for a campus, with W73H handsets for office staff and rugged W57R or W59R handsets for housekeeping, kitchens, maintenance and care staff.
Extend a W70B base with the RT30 DECT repeater for dead spots, or move to Yealink's W75, W80 or W90 multi-cell systems, which hand calls between bases as staff walk. The same handsets are used on single-cell and multi-cell systems.
The W57R, rated IP54 against dust and splashes with a vibrate alert, or the W59R, rated IP67 for wet and dusty areas including outdoor use. Both register to the W70B base alongside standard office handsets.
The Yealink SIP-T31P: an inexpensive two-line phone with a backlit screen, powered over PoE. Wake-up calls and billing are handled by the hotel PBX or PMS integration.
Many nurse-call systems can send alerts as SIP calls or messages to DECT handsets through the PBX; the handset displays them like a call. The integration is configured between the nurse-call vendor and your phone platform, so confirm compatibility with them.
For multi-cell deployments a DECT site survey is recommended, and ARC IP Networks can arrange one with the installer. For single-building sites, send a floor plan and we will advise whether one base, a repeater or multi-cell is needed.
