Source: Ruijie's product pages for each model. The 867 Mbps figure is the 5 GHz radio's wireless rate, not the throughput you will see across the link (see the next section). "Not stated" means Ruijie's page does not give the figure.
How much will actually get through?
Ruijie publishes a bridging performance table that is far more useful than the headline wireless rate, because it shows throughput and how many cameras each model carried at real distances. In Ruijie's testing:
- RG-EST100-E: 60 Mbps at 100 m and 30 Mbps at 500 m, enough for 10 x 3 MP cameras at 100 m or 5 at 500 m.
- RG-EST310V2: 80 Mbps at 1 km and 40 Mbps at 2 km, carrying 16 x 3 MP cameras at 1 km.
- RG-EST330F-P: 80 Mbps at 1 km and 40 Mbps at 3 km, with 8 x 3 MP cameras at 3 km.
- RG-EST350G: 230 Mbps at 1 km, 200 Mbps at 3 km and 150 Mbps at 5 km: 20 x 3 MP or 6 x 8 MP cameras at 5 km.
- RG-EST450G (paired with RG-EST350G): 200 Mbps at 1 km, 130 Mbps at 3 km and 80 Mbps at 5 km.
- RG-AIRMETRO460G: 230 Mbps at 1 km down to 80 Mbps at 10 km, still carrying 16 x 3 MP cameras at 10 km.
- RG-AIRMETRO550G-B with RG-ANT20S-90: 204 Mbps at 3 km, 153 Mbps at 5 km and 77 Mbps at 10 km.
For a household sharing an NBN service with a shed or granny flat, any of these is plenty. For CCTV, count your cameras and their resolution, then pick the model whose camera figure at your distance has room to spare. Ruijie notes that lab and field figures vary with the environment, so leave headroom and keep a clear line of sight between the two ends: trees, hills and roofs in the path cut performance.
Point-to-point or point-to-multipoint?
Point-to-point (PTP) joins exactly two places, such as the house and the machinery shed. The RG-EST100-E, RG-EST310V2 and RG-EST350G come as pairs for this job; Ruijie factory-pairs the RG-EST310V2 so it links up out of the box and re-bridges by itself after a power cut, and the RG-EST350G pairs automatically in PTP mode.
Point-to-multipoint (PTMP) feeds several buildings from one hub. There are two ways to do it with Ruijie:
- EST base station: the RG-EST450G has a 120° built-in sector antenna and one-touch PTMP pairing. Put it on the main building and point RG-EST350G or RG-EST330F-P units back at it from each shed, cottage or camera pole.
- AirMetro base station: the RG-AIRMETRO550G-B serves up to 32 CPEs, with pairing that Ruijie says takes about 30 seconds. Choose its antenna by the shape of the area: RG-ANT20S-90 (20 dBi, 90°, 10 km), RG-ANT16S-120 (16 dBi, 120°, 5 km) or RG-ANT13-360 (13 dBi, 360° omnidirectional, 2 km). The RG-AIRMETRO460G is the matching CPE at each site.
Ruijie's pages for the newer EST models note that EST and AirMetro units can be mixed in one network with TDMA enabled, so a site can start small and grow.

Wireless bridges for CCTV
Getting camera footage back to the NVR is the most common reason Australian installers buy a bridge: a camera on the front gate of a rural property, a boom gate in a car park, a lift shaft in an apartment block, or a building site with no cable run yet. Ruijie designs the RG-EST310V2 as a "wireless bridge expert for CCTV", including lift (elevator) CCTV where a travelling cable is a problem.
The RG-EST330F-P is the one to know for camera poles: it has 3 Fast Ethernet ports, 2 of them with PoE out (802.3af output, which Ruijie notes depends on the bridge's own input power), so one cable up the pole can power the bridge and the cameras. It accepts 12 V DC, passive PoE or 802.3af/at in. At the recorder end, a Reyee smart CCTV switch powers the bridge and cameras; see our Reyee CCTV PoE switch guide, and size the recorder with how much storage you need for security cameras.
Built for Australian weather
Every bridge here is rated for outdoor use, but the ratings differ. The RG-EST310V2 is IP54 with a –30 to +55°C operating range; the RG-EST100-E, RG-EST330F-P, RG-EST350G, RG-EST450G, RG-AIRMETRO550G-B and the three AirMetro antennas are IP55; the RG-AIRMETRO460G dish is IP65. The AirMetro models also carry 6 kV surge protection and ±24 kV ESD protection, Ruijie quotes 220.32 km/h wind survivability, and the RG-AIRMETRO550G-B operates from –40 to +80°C.
The RG-AIRMETRO550G-B also takes 12 V DC input, which Ruijie positions for solar power at remote sites.
Setting up and managing the link
All Ruijie bridges are managed in the free Ruijie Cloud and the Ruijie Reyee App, with lifetime free cloud management. The tools that save a second trip up the ladder are:
- Alignment tool: Ruijie's "big-voice" guide that helps you aim the two ends.
- Spectrum scan and link optimisation: one-click scanning of channel interference with automatic recommendations.
- Bridge speed test, real-time monitoring and SON (self-organising network).
Read Ruijie Cloud explained for what the free platform covers, and see Wi-Fi Between Buildings in Australia: How to Get Internet to a Shed, Granny Flat or Across the Farm for planning tips that apply to any brand of bridge.

Common questions
Straight answers from the ARC IP Networks team. Last reviewed October 2026.
A wireless bridge is a pair or group of outdoor radios with directional antennas that links two or more buildings like an Ethernet cable, without trenching. Ruijie Reyee makes the EST series (mostly sold as pairs) and the AirMetro series (base station, antennas and CPEs).
Ruijie rates the RG-EST100-E for 500 m, the RG-EST310V2 for 1 km, the RG-EST330F-P for 3 km and the RG-EST350G for 5 km. The RG-AirMetro550G-B base station reaches up to 10 km with the RG-ANT20S-90 antenna, and the RG-AirMetro460G is rated for up to 15 km point to point. Clear line of sight is needed.
For one building up to 1 km, the RG-EST310V2 pair carried 16 x 3 MP cameras at 1 km in Ruijie's testing. For poles without power, the RG-EST330F-P has two PoE out ports. For many cameras over long distances, the RG-EST350G carried 20 x 3 MP cameras at 5 km.
EST bridges are compact units with built-in antennas, mostly sold as pairs for links of 500 m to 5 km, plus the RG-EST450G 120° base station. AirMetro is a larger system: a base station that takes one of three external antennas and serves up to 32 CPEs, and a 23 dBi dish CPE for links of up to 15 km.
No controller is needed. Ruijie bridges are managed in the free Ruijie Cloud and the Ruijie Reyee App, with alignment, spectrum scan and speed test tools.
Yes, with the RG-EST330F-P. It has 3 Fast Ethernet ports, 2 of them with 802.3af PoE out; Ruijie notes the output depends on the bridge's own input power.
Yes. Use the RG-EST450G 120° base station with RG-EST350G or RG-EST330F-P units at each building, or the RG-AirMetro550G-B base station with RG-AirMetro460G CPEs for up to 32 sites.
