Melbourne homeowners, businesses and installers buy genuine Hikvision from ARC IP Networks, a Blackburn, Victoria-based authorised Hikvision reseller. You get real Australian stock, Australian warranty, local Melbourne pickup or Australia-wide delivery, and phone support in your own time zone.
Where do you buy genuine Hikvision cameras in Melbourne?
The simplest answer: buy from a Melbourne-based authorised supplier that holds genuine Australian stock. ARC IP Networks is based in Blackburn, in Melbourne's eastern suburbs, and supplies genuine Hikvision cameras and NVRs to homeowners, businesses and installers right across Victoria and Australia-wide.
Because stock sits locally, you can arrange pickup from MelbourneDelivery times depend on where stock is held and your location; see our shipping and delivery page for details. Every unit is genuine, Australian-supplied stock backed by an Australian warranty and local support, not a grey-import parcel shipped from overseas. If you'd like a hand choosing, our where-to-buy guide walks through the options.
Why buy genuine Australian-stock Hikvision (not a grey import)?
Hikvision cameras are sold worldwide, and cheap listings often turn out to be grey imports — stock brought in outside the official Australian channel. On paper the model number looks identical; in practice the experience is very different.
- Australian warranty you can actually use. Genuine Australian stock is covered by warranty you claim locally, without shipping a faulty camera overseas.
- Correct firmware and region. Australian-supplied units run the right firmware for Australian Hik-Connect accounts and cloud services, avoiding activation and region headaches.
- Real local support. Questions get answered by a Melbourne team in your own time zone, not an overseas seller.

Best Hikvision setups for Melbourne homes, cafes, retail & warehouses
Melbourne homes
Weatherboard and brick homes across the suburbs suit discreet 6–8MP ColorVu turret or bullet cameras under the eaves, covering the front door, driveway and side gates with full-colour night vision. See our best Hikvision cameras for home guide.
Cafés & retail
Inner-city cafés and suburban shops benefit from cameras over the counter, entry and back-of-house for staff safety and loss prevention. AcuSense human/vehicle detection cuts false alerts from passing trams and foot traffic.
Warehouses & yards
Outer-suburb industrial estates in Dandenong South, Truganina, Campbellfield and Laverton need long-range 4K bullets with strong infrared to cover loading docks, fence lines and car parks after dark.
Not sure how many cameras you need? Our camera-count guide helps you plan coverage before you buy.
Do Hikvision cameras handle Melbourne's weather?
Melbourne is famous for four seasons in one day — a cold, wet morning, a hot northerly by lunch and a southerly change by evening. Outdoor cameras cop driving rain, UV, dust and temperature swings, so the weather rating matters.
Most outdoor Hikvision cameras carry an IP66 or IP67 ingress rating, meaning they're built to shrug off heavy rain and dust — ideal for exposed eaves, carports and fence lines in Melbourne conditions. Bayside and Mornington Peninsula properties near salt air should favour models rated for tougher environments and stainless fixings. For the full explainer, read IP & IK ratings explained.
For south-facing walls that get harsh afternoon glare and shaded verandahs at the same time, look for cameras with Wide Dynamic Range (WDR) so number plates and faces stay readable in mixed light.
