Hik-Connect is Hikvision’s free app for viewing your cameras remotely from anywhere. Setting it up takes a few minutes — download the app, enable the service on your recorder, and add your device. Step 1 — Download and register
Install Hik-Connect from the Apple App Store or Google Play, open it and register an account with your email or mobile number. Choose your region as Australia when prompted.
Step 2 — Enable Hik-Connect on your device
On your NVR or camera, open Configuration → Network → Platform Access (on a local NVR menu this may appear as Network → Hik-Connect). Enable the service and set a verification code of at least six characters. Make sure the device is connected to your router and online.
Step 3 — Add your device to the app
In Hik-Connect, tap the + button and either scan the QR code shown on your device’s menu or enter its nine-digit serial number. Enter the verification code you just set, and the device is added.
Step 4 — View live, play back and get alerts

Troubleshooting
- Device offline? Check the network cable and that the device has internet; confirm Hik-Connect is enabled.
- Wrong verification code? Re-enter the code exactly as set on the device.
- Time wrong on footage? Set the correct time zone (Australia) on the device.
