Where to Buy Genuine PowerShield UPS in Australia

Who PowerShield is, how to make sure your UPS is genuine and keeps its PowerShield Australian warranty (including the free third year on Commander and Centurion), and why buy from ARC IP Networks.

PowerShield is an Australian-owned power protection company, operating since 2000 and based in Malaga, Western Australia. It sells through a network of Australian Power Partners. Buy from an Australian business that supplies genuine PowerShield stock so you get the PowerShield Australian warranty (2 years on most UPSs, 3 years when you register a Commander or Centurion single-phase model, 5 years on LiFePO4 models) and local support.

ARC IP Networks is a trusted PowerShield supplier in Australia: genuine stock at competitive prices, with the full PowerShield Australian warranty, Australia-wide delivery and trade pricing. Order online for delivery anywhere in Australia, pick up free in Blackburn, Melbourne, or call 1300 100 440 for a trade or project quote.

Not to be confused with other "PowerShield" names

Search results for "PowerShield UPS" mix in unrelated products: Riello's PowerShield3 shutdown software, APC's US PowerShield batteries for Verizon FiOS equipment, and a US battery monitoring company at powershield.com. The Australian UPS brand in this guide is PowerShield at powershield.com.au, and its model codes start with PS (for example PSD1200 or PSCERT1000).

How to make sure you're buying genuine PowerShield

PowerShield sells through Power Partners across Australia and the Pacific: IT distributors, resellers, retail stores, security specialists, electrical distributors and service agents. Wherever you buy, these checks protect your warranty:

  1. Match the full model code. Every genuine product has a PowerShield part number, such as PSCERT1000 or PSD1200, that matches a product page on powershield.com.au. Be cautious with listings that only say "PowerShield UPS 1000VA".
  2. Check it is built for Australian power. PowerShield designs its range for Australian conditions, with Australian/New Zealand approved sockets and 240 V output.
  3. Ask about the warranty before you pay. A genuine supplier will tell you the PowerShield warranty term for that model and how claims are handled in Australia.
  4. Keep the tax invoice and the serial number. PowerShield asks for the serial number to confirm the model and date of manufacture when you contact support or register for the extended warranty.
  5. Buy new stock from a current supplier. The battery data sheets PowerShield publishes say its sealed lead-acid batteries can be stored for up to 6 months at 25°C before they need recharging, so a used or long-stored unit may arrive with a tired battery.

Keeping your PowerShield Australian warranty

Register Commander and Centurion models for a free third year

PowerShield's Warranty Upgrade Program extends the warranty on all Commander and Centurion single-phase UPSs from 24 to 36 months at no cost. You activate it by registering the UPS on PowerShield's website, and registered customers also get priority support. Do it on the day you install the UPS, while the invoice and serial number are at hand. Models include the Commander RT 1100VA, Commander Tower 1100VA, Centurion RT 1000VA and Centurion 1000VA tower.

Advance replacement and on-site service

Under PowerShield's warranty terms, UPSs up to 3 kVA are covered by advance replacement, and larger hardwired units get on-site service in metro areas. Three-phase systems carry a 12-month warranty.

Extra warranty years

PowerShield also sells paid extended warranty options for several ranges (part numbers ending in XW, such as PSDXW for the Defender 800VA to 2000VA models). Ask us if you'd like one quoted with your UPS.

Making a claim through ARC IP Networks

If a PowerShield product you bought from us develops a fault, contact our team with your invoice number and the serial number. We handle warranty and RMA questions locally and work with PowerShield on the replacement or repair. Before you call, PowerShield's FAQ suggests checking the basics: a beeping UPS is often running on battery, overloaded or asking for a battery change, and Commander and Centurion models show a BR icon when the batteries need replacing (see our battery replacement guide).
