Key features

Higher Capacity for Smarter Video

AI thrives on video data. WD Purple Pro delivers big capacities up to 26TB for larger-scale deployments and longer-term retention — so your system holds more high-quality footage and gives analytics more to learn from.

Enterprise-Class Reliability

True enterprise-class drives designed for the highest level of reliability. Rated at 2 million hours MTBF and backed by a 5-year limited warranty, WD Purple Pro is built for high-end video recorders and analytics servers that run 24×7.

Simultaneous Recording and Real-Time AI Analysis

Modern cameras and AI-enabled recorders send multiple streams of high-definition video, images, and metadata to storage at once.

Built for Advanced Smart Video

WD Purple Pro supports a higher workload rating of up to 550TB/year— three times that of mainstream video surveillance drives — to keep up with the heavy video capture and AI analysis found in advanced video management systems.

Innovative AllFrame AI Technology

AllFrame AI technology intelligently guides video, picture, and metadata streams to disk while mitigating dropped frames — helping preserve complete, usable video data for accurate AI analytics.

Proactive Drive Health with WDDA

Western Digital Device Analytics (WDDA) monitors drive health and recommends action to improve drive operation, helping you keep surveillance systems running reliably. Requires a compatible video recorder or system.
