The PowerShield Centurion RT LiFePO4 2000VA (PSLCERT2000) is a true online double-conversion UPS rated 2000 VA / 1800 W in a rack/tower design with 5 x 10 A IEC C13 and 3 x Australian sockets. Connected equipment runs from a continuously regenerated pure sine wave with zero transfer time to battery. It uses lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) batteries.

ARC IP Networks supplies the genuine PowerShield PSLCERT2000 in Australia with the full PowerShield Australian warranty (5 years) and Australia-wide delivery.

PowerShield Centurion RT LiFePO4 2000VA overview

The Centurion RT LiFePO4 is PowerShield's highest power-density single-phase UPS range. It uses true online double-conversion, so the PSLCERT2000 continuously rebuilds a clean pure sine wave for the load and transfers to battery with zero transfer time. With an output power factor of 0.9, the PSLCERT2000 delivers 1800 W of real power from its 2000 VA rating.

The PSLCERT2000 installs as a floor-standing tower or in a 19-inch rack at 480 mm deep. Outlets: 5 x 10 A IEC C13 and 3 x Australian sockets. Input: 10 A IEC input socket.

The LiFePO4 advantage

PowerShield states its lithium iron phosphate batteries give double to triple the battery life of lead-acid, are up to one third lighter, recharge three times faster (2 hours typical) and operate in environments up to 40 °C without battery degradation. The LiFePO4 chemistry is also described by PowerShield as non-flammable. The result is a lower total cost of ownership and fewer battery swaps in comms rooms and remote cabinets.

Efficiency and management

Advanced ECO mode allows efficiency of up to 98%: when mains voltage is within the ECO range the UPS passes it straight to the load while the inverter runs in passive mode. PowerShield rates the PSLCERT2000 at 97% in advanced ECO mode and 88% in battery mode. USB with HID and RS-232 come standard: HID lets Windows, Apple, Linux and NAS devices recognise the UPS for an orderly shutdown, and the free PowerShield NetGuard software adds monitoring and scheduled shutdowns. An intelligent slot takes the PSSNMPV4 SNMP card, a Modbus card or the PSAS400 relay card. Programmable outlets let you shed non-critical loads to stretch runtime for critical devices, and an emergency power off (EPO) function isolates the UPS in an emergency.

Where it fits

PowerShield lists the Centurion RT LiFePO4 range for automatic gates, communications equipment, data centres, industrial sites, infrastructure, medical equipment, mining, security systems and workstations. In practice that means server and comms racks, network cabinets, security recorders and industrial controllers where clean, uninterrupted power matters.

Other PowerShield published runtime figures

PowerShield publishes these backup times for the PSLCERT2000. To size a UPS, PowerShield suggests adding up the watts of the equipment to protect and dividing by 0.7 to get the VA rating the UPS must exceed; keep the load within the 1800 W real-power rating as well.

Frequently asked questions

Straight answers about the PowerShield PSLCERT2000 from the ARC IP Networks team. Last reviewed October 2026.

The PSLCERT2000 is the PowerShield Centurion RT LiFePO4 2000VA true online double-conversion UPS, rated 2000 VA / 1800 W with 5 x 10 A IEC C13 and 3 x Australian sockets.

Yes. It is a true online double-conversion UPS: incoming AC is converted to DC and back to a clean AC output continuously, which isolates equipment from mains problems and gives zero transfer time to battery.

Yes. PowerShield specifies a pure sine wave output in battery mode, which suits sensitive electronics, active PFC power supplies and motors.

About 47 minutes at 700 VA (490 W) and 42 minutes at 1000 VA (700 W) with the UPS alone, per PowerShield's runtime chart. Real runtime varies with temperature and battery age.

No. PowerShield lists the PSLCERT2000 as not expandable with external battery banks. For longer runtime choose a larger model or an expandable Commander RT or Centurion model.

Yes. The PSLCERT2000 has an intelligent slot for the PSSNMPV4 SNMP card, a Modbus card or the PSAS400 relay card. The PSSNMPV4 adds web monitoring, email and SNMP alerts, and automatic shutdown of servers and VMware or Hyper-V hosts.

Yes, for NAS devices that support USB HID UPS signalling. PowerShield states the PSLCERT2000 supports HID for Windows, Apple, Linux and NAS devices, so a connected NAS or computer can shut down in an orderly way during a long outage.

Up to 1800 W and 2000 VA. PowerShield suggests adding up the watts of the equipment you want to protect and dividing by 0.7 to get the VA rating the UPS must exceed, then allowing headroom for runtime.
