ARC-DJC-16

ARC DATA ARC-DJC-16 at a glance

The ARC DATA ARC-DJC-16 is a vertical dome splice closure that protects up to 16 fibre splices at junction points in the outside plant. A mechanical seal keeps it gas- and water-tight to IP68 while staying re-enterable, with no heat-shrink sealing. It measures 190 x 316 mm and mounts aerial, in a duct, buried, on a pole or on a wall.

ARC DATA is the networking brand of the ARC group. Contact ARC IP Networks for ARC-DJC-16 availability and project pricing.

The ARC DATA ARC-DJC-16 in depth

Sixteen splices, sealed and re-enterable

The ARC-DJC-16 protects fibre joints at junction points in the FTTx network. Its high-strength, UV-resistant housing closes on a mechanical seal that is gas- and water-tight to IP68, yet fully re-enterable for moves and adds without consumable heat-shrink sealing.

Inside the dome

Removable splice trays organise up to 16 fibres with heat-shrink splice protection and slack management, while multi-port oval and round entries take the route’s cables. A sealing ring, hoop, base and earthing device complete the kit.

Where it goes

At 190 x 316 mm and rated -40 °C to +65 °C, it suits aerial, duct, buried, pole and wall positions across the outside plant. If the joint also needs to split one feeder to sixteen drops, use the ARC-DJC-16-S16.

Frequently asked questions

Straight answers about the ARC DATA ARC-DJC-16 from the ARC IP Networks team. Last reviewed November 2026.

A dome splice closure (FOSC) is a sealed vertical enclosure that protects fibre splices where routes branch or cables joint. Cables enter through sealed ports at the base, splices sit on removable trays inside, and the seal keeps the joint gas- and water-tight but re-enterable.

With a mechanical compression seal. Torque the dome down and the joint is gas- and water-tight to IP68; re-entry means opening it and re-seating the same seal.

Up to 16 fibres on removable splice trays, with heat-shrink splice protection and slack management.

Yes. Direct burial, pits, ducts, aerial strand, pole and wall are all supported positions.

Multiple. The base has oval and round ports for route-through and branch cables.

Use the ARC-DJC-16-S16, the same dome family with an integral 1 x 16 PLC splitter that distributes one feeder to sixteen drops at the joint.

IP68 is an ingress-protection rating under IEC 60529. The 6 means dust-tight and the 8 means protected against continuous immersion in water under conditions set by the manufacturer.

The closure ships with its sealing kit and installation accessories. You also need the fibre cables being jointed and the rest of the ODN, such as distribution terminals and ODFs. Call ARC IP Networks on 1300 100 440 for a matched bill of materials or project pricing.
