Yealink Phones for Construction Sites, Quarries and Mine Camps in Australia: Rugged DECT with Lone-Worker Alarms

The Yealink rugged DECT system, site-office phones and battery conference phone that survive a work site, and how to connect them over 4G/5G or satellite.

For a construction site office, a quarry or a mine camp, the Yealink kit is a W79P Pro rugged DECT system (IP67 W59R Pro handsets with emergency, man-down and no-movement alarms) covering the site from a W70B base or W80B multi-cell, T33G or T54W phones in the site office and crib room, a CP935W battery conference phone for the meeting demountable, and a 4G/5G or satellite internet link from the networking gear we also supply.

ARC IP Networks is a trusted Yealink supplier in Australia: genuine Yealink stock with the full manufacturer's warranty, delivered Australia-wide at competitive prices, with local pre-sales help for businesses, installers and IT providers.

What remote and industrial sites need

  • Phones that survive. Dust, rain, drops from a ute tray. IP67 handsets, not office phones.
  • Lone-worker safety. A handset that raises an alarm when a worker falls or stops moving, routed to the site supervisor.
  • Coverage across a changing site. Demountables move; DECT bases and repeaters move with them.
  • Internet that is not fixed-line. 4G/5G, Starlink or point-to-point wireless back to a depot. The phone system is hosted, so the site only needs a link.
  • Quick redeployment. Everything packs into a case and sets up on the next site.

Getting the site online

Yealink phones register to your hosted VoIP provider or 3CX over any internet link. On a site that means a 4G/5G router, a Starlink dish or a wireless bridge back to a depot, plus a small PoE switch in the office demountable. ARC IP Networks supplies Ubiquiti and MikroTik LTE/5G routers, UniFi switches and point-to-point wireless links alongside the Yealink kit, so the site office arrives with one box of gear that works together.

Safety alarms and your phone system

The W59R Pro's emergency, man-down and no-movement alarms place a call or send an alert to a number you configure through the base and your PBX. Agree the escalation (supervisor handset, then site office, then an external number) with your safety team before rollout, and test it on commissioning.

Packing and redeploying

Label the base, repeater and handsets as a kit. When the site closes, the whole DECT system re-registers to the provider at the next site with the same extensions, and the T54W office phones only need the new Wi-Fi password.

Common questions

The Yealink W79P Pro: a W70B DECT base with the IP67 W59R Pro handset, which has Bluetooth 5.2, dual-microphone noise cancellation and emergency, man-down and no-movement alarms for lone workers. Additional W59R and W57R rugged handsets register to the same base.

The W59R Pro handset detects a fall or horizontal position (man-down) or an absence of movement (no-movement) and places a call or alert to the number configured in the base and your phone system. An emergency key does the same on demand. Agree and test the escalation chain before rollout.

Yealink phones register to a hosted VoIP provider or 3CX over any internet link: a 4G/5G router, Starlink or a wireless bridge to a depot, with a small PoE switch in the site office. ARC IP Networks supplies Ubiquiti and MikroTik routers, switches and wireless links with the Yealink kit.

Start with a W70B base in the site office, add RT30 repeaters for dead spots, and move to the W80B multi-cell system for large or spread-out sites so handsets roam between bases without dropping calls.

The Yealink CP935W: it registers over Wi-Fi, runs on a built-in battery and has a 6-microphone array, so it can sit on any table for toolbox talks and client meetings with no cable.

Yes. The DECT base, repeater and handsets re-register to your provider at the next site with the same extensions, and T54W office phones only need the new Wi-Fi details. ARC IP Networks can quote the kit as a reusable package with spares.
