Cisco Registered Partner: genuine, new Cisco
ARC IP Networks is a Cisco Registered Partner. Our Cisco is genuine Cisco, supplied through Cisco's authorised Australian distribution, and it is new: we do not stock anything else. Network and security gear sits at the centre of a business's obligations under the Privacy Act and frameworks such as the ACSC Essential Eight, so knowing exactly where it came from is part of doing that job properly. Every order also comes with a GST tax invoice for your accounts, asset register and EOFY records.
Buy the Australian version of each Cisco product
Several Cisco products come in regional versions, and the part number tells you which one you have. These are examples from our range, with what Cisco states for each:
| Product | What Cisco states about the Australian version |
|---|---|
| CW9162I-Z | Built for the Australia / New Zealand (-Z) regulatory domain |
| Headset 561 (-EU) | Frequency band covers Europe, the U.K., Asia, South Africa, Hong Kong, Australia and New Zealand |
| IP DECT 6825 Ruggedized (AU) | Ships with an Australian power adapter |
| CAB-TA-AP= | Australian AC power cord, 250 VAC 10 A, for Catalyst 9300 AC power supplies |
Source: Cisco data sheets as quoted on our product pages.
In its Catalyst 9120AXI documentation, Cisco states that customers are responsible for verifying approval for use in their country, which is another reason to buy the regional part number rather than a version meant for another market. Read more in our Cisco Wi-Fi access points guide.
Licences quoted with the hardware
Much of Cisco's range needs a licence or subscription to run as intended, and the cheapest way to avoid a surprise is to quote it with the hardware. Examples from Cisco's own documents:
- The C9200L-48P-4X-E ships with a perpetual Network Essentials licence, with a Cisco DNA subscription in 3-, 5- or 7-year terms, and the DNA tier must match the Network Essentials or Network Advantage level.
- On a C9800-L-C-K9 wireless controller, each connected access point needs a Cisco DNA subscription licence.
- Cisco Meraki states a Meraki access point licence is required for the MR78-HW, and Cisco pairs every Meraki MX, such as the MX95, with an Enterprise, Advanced Security or Secure SD-WAN Plus licence.
Tell us the hardware and the term you want and we will quote the Cisco DNA, Catalyst, Meraki or Webex licence it needs. Cisco Meraki also points out that a warranty is not the same as a licence: a valid licence does not extend hardware warranty cover. Our Cisco and Meraki licensing guide explains the tiers.
Cisco's warranty, stated for each model
Cisco's warranty differs by product family, so every product page we publish states it for that model. A few examples, quoted from Cisco's documents:
Swipe the table sideways to compare all models →
| Model | Warranty Cisco states |
|---|---|
| C9300-48U-E, C9200L-48P-4X-E | Cisco Enhanced Limited Lifetime Warranty (E-LLW), as long as the original customer owns the product |
| C1300-48P-4G | Limited lifetime with return-to-factory replacement |
| CW9162I-Z | Limited lifetime hardware warranty, with 5-day advance hardware replacement |
| MX95 | Limited lifetime hardware warranty with next-day advance hardware replacement |
| MR78-HW | 1-year hardware warranty with advanced replacement (outdoor access point) |
| C9800-L-C-K9 | Cisco 1-year limited hardware warranty |
| CP-8841-K9= | Cisco standard 1-year replacement warranty |
| CS-BAR-T-K9 | 1-year limited liability warranty |
| Cisco headsets | Two-year limited hardware warranty |
| Cisco SFP modules | Standard warranty of 5 years |
Source: Cisco data sheets and Cisco Meraki warranty documentation. Meraki "lifetime" ends at the product's End-of-Support date.
Check end-of-sale dates before a project
Cisco publishes end-of-sale and end-of-support dates, and they matter for a network you expect to run for years. One example from our range: Cisco moved the Catalyst 9120AXI end-of-sale date to July 31, 2026, with software maintenance to December 31, 2027 and security support to December 31, 2031, and recommends the Wireless 9176I as its migration product. By contrast, Cisco's Wi-Fi 6 indoor access point notice does not include the outdoor Meraki MR78-HW. Ask us about the status of any model before you standardise on it.
