Why choose the DS-2CD63C5G1-IVS

The DS-2CD63C5G1-IVS is the most capable camera in Hikvision’s DeepinView G1 fisheye family. Its 12 MP (3504 × 3504) 1/1.8″ sensor sits behind a 1.29 mm Panomorph lens (RPL: 89VVT) covering 180° × 180°, so detail holds up even when the image is split into four virtual PTZ views. It combines every analytic in the range — people counting, queue management, space and time heat maps and intersection analysis — with three independently controlled IR lights to 15 m, four microphones and a speaker for two-way audio, and a rugged IP67 / IK10 metal housing with a heater rated from −40 °C to 60 °C. Supplied and supported by ARC IP Networks with genuine Australian stock.

Best for

  • Maximum detail from one camera: 12 MP keeps dewarped views sharp across a whole room or yard.
  • Business intelligence: people counting, queue and waiting-time detection, heat maps and intersection-flow reports.
  • Day and night: three independently controlled IR lights cover to 15 m.
  • Talk-back: four built-in microphones and a built-in speaker for two-way audio.
  • Harsh or exposed sites: IP67, IK10, heater and −40 °C to 60 °C operating range.

Specifications from the official Hikvision datasheet for the DS-2CD63C5G1-IVS. Range and DORI figures are Hikvision reference values and vary with environment.

Professional Overview

The Hikvision DS-2CD63C5G1-IVS is a 12 MP DeepinView IR network fisheye camera. A 1/1.8″ sensor at 3504 × 3504 and a 1.29 mm Panomorph lens (RPL: 89VVT) deliver a 180° × 180° view, letting one camera cover a large room, shop floor or yard. It supports wall, table and ceiling mounting.

Twenty display modes let you view the raw fisheye or dewarped images. The camera can dewarp in hardware and stream fisheye, 180° panorama, 180° dual-channel panorama, panorama, 4PTZ, fisheye + 3PTZ and 4PTZ fusion views, with 4PTZ views at 1600 × 1200 each, while compatible client software adds hemisphere, cylinder and 360° panorama layouts with up to 8 virtual PTZ windows. Three independently controlled IR lights reach 15 m.

With 2 TOPS of on-board deep learning it counts people entering, exiting and passing by, manages queues with length and waiting-time detection, produces space and time heat maps and analyses flow through intersections of up to 10 ways. Smart events cover line crossing, intrusion, region entrance, region exiting, scene change, audio exception, defocus, unattended baggage and object removal detection. Four built-in microphones and a speaker provide two-way audio, alongside a line in and out, 2 alarm inputs, 2 alarm outputs, RS-485 and SIP support.

The metal housing is rated IP67 and IK10, includes a heater and operates from −40 °C to 60 °C. It runs on 802.3af PoE (max 12.5 W) or 12 VDC, connects at Gigabit speed, records to microSD up to 256 GB and integrates via ONVIF Profile S/G/T, ISAPI and ISUP. Australian stock from ARC IP Networks.

How it compares

Complete your system

Every Hikvision IP camera records to a network video recorder (NVR) or VMS. This fisheye draws a maximum of 12.5 W on 802.3af PoE (or 12 VDC), so any 802.3af PoE NVR port or switch can power it — for example the DS-7608NI-M2/8P 8-channel PoE NVR, or the DS-3E1309P-EI PoE switch for larger installs. Because the camera can output dewarped views itself, the recorder simply records the streams you choose.

Browse Hikvision NVRs →

Works with your system

Dewarped at the source. The camera can stream panorama, 4PTZ or fisheye + 3PTZ views itself, so your recorder stores ready-to-review images, and H.265+ keeps storage and bandwidth in check.

Hikvision NVRs

Record the camera’s fisheye or camera-dewarped streams; PoE NVRs power it over one cable.

iVMS-4200

Free Hikvision desktop client listed in the datasheet, with software dewarping for live view and playback.

Hik-Connect

Remote viewing and notifications on iOS and Android.

ONVIF Profile S, G & T

Integrates with compatible third-party NVRs and VMS platforms.

SIP / VoIP

Session Initiation Protocol support for peer-to-peer or SIP/PBX integration.

HEOP 2.0 open platform

2 TOPS of on-camera compute for third-party apps (Caffe, TensorFlow, PyTorch; C/C++).
