The Synology NVR216 in depth

Surveillance without a computer

The NVR216 outputs Surveillance Station at 1080p over HDMI. After the initial set-up, connect a monitor and a keyboard and mouse (or a joystick) to watch live feeds, change camera settings and browse recorded footage, with no PC required. It records up to 9 network cameras and ships with 4 camera licences pre-installed.

Storage that grows with the site

Two SATA bays take 3.5" or 2.5" drives (not included). The eSATA port connects one Synology DX513 expansion unit to grow from 2 to 7 drives, and with DX513 attached you can create RAID 5 or RAID 6 volumes to protect footage.

Quiet and efficient around the clock

The NVR216 draws only 14.14 W with 9 channels streaming and continuously recording, and it supports a UPS over USB so it can shut down safely during a power failure. Alerts can be sent through DS cam, SMS and email.
