The Synology DVA1622 in depth

AI surveillance in a compact NVR

The DVA1622 is a 2-bay desktop recording server that brings deep learning video analytics to homes and small businesses. It handles up to 16 IP cameras with 8 licences included, and its HDMI port lets you watch feeds on a monitor without a separate PC.

Analytics that act on events

Built-in algorithms detect people and vehicles, count traffic in both directions, flag perimeter intrusions and recognise faces from a custom database. Rules can trigger snapshots, door actions or notifications by email, SMS or push, and license plate recognition works on stationary vehicles.

Scales with your deployment

Surveillance Station's Centralized Management System lets the DVA1622 join larger multi-site deployments with remote updates, N+M recording failover and dual recording to another server or C2 Surveillance. Recordings are stored on the unit itself with no subscription fees.
