The HiLook IPC-T361H-MU (2.8 mm) is a 6 MP AI turret for everyday outdoor coverage. It classifies people and vehicles on the camera itself to cut false alerts, handles backlight with 120 dB WDR, and records to its own microSD card as well as to your recorder. Infrared reaches 30 m. It belongs to the HiLook Value fixed-lens range — it keeps the microSD slot for on-board recording and a third video stream.

Why choose the IPC-T361H-MU (2.8 mm)

The HiLook IPC-T361H-MU (2.8 mm) is the sensible default for a HiLook system. At 6 MP it gives noticeably more detail than a 2 or 4 MP camera without pushing up storage the way 4K does, and its AI human and vehicle classification means the timeline fills with events that matter rather than every moth and swaying branch. It keeps a microSD slot for on-board recording, which is a genuine advantage over the Pro-line T363H if you want footage to survive a recorder being stolen. Supplied and supported by ARC IP Networks with genuine Australian stock, Australian warranty and local support.

Best for

  • Outdoor perimeters and entries: IP67 housing, 30 m infrared and 120 dB WDR for backlit doorways.
  • Sites plagued by false alerts: on-camera AI separates people and vehicles from animals, rain and moving foliage.
  • Budget-conscious upgrades: HiLook pricing on a standard 802.3af PoE switch, no licences.
  • Where the recorder is at risk: on-board microSD keeps footage even if the NVR is taken.

Who it’s for

Small business

Shopfronts, yards and rear entries on a modest budget.

Residential

Driveways, side gates and back gardens with fewer nuisance alerts.

Warehouses & yards

Loading docks and fence lines, with vehicle classification.

Installers

Standard PoE, ONVIF conformant, no per-camera licensing.

Professional Overview

The HiLook by Hikvision IPC-T361H-MU is an advanced 6MP AI turret IP camera designed for superior surveillance in diverse environments. Boasting an 6-megapixel (3200 × 1800) resolution and a 1/2.4" Progressive Scan CMOS sensor, this camera delivers exceptionally clear and detailed 4K images, crucial for critical monitoring applications where every detail matters. Its 2.8mm fixed lens provides a wide field of view, making it ideal for monitoring expansive areas.

Equipped with deep learning algorithms, the IPC-T361H-MU offers intelligent human and vehicle classification, significantly reducing false alarms triggered by environmental factors. This precision detection ensures that security alerts are highly relevant and actionable. Furthermore, its built-in arrayed dual-microphone provides real-time, high-quality audio security, allowing for comprehensive situational awareness and valuable audio evidence collection alongside visual data.

This camera excels in challenging lighting conditions thanks to its 120 dB true WDR (Wide Dynamic Range) technology, ensuring balanced exposure and clear images even against strong backlighting or in high-contrast scenes. Efficient H.265+ compression technology minimizes bandwidth and storage requirements without compromising video quality, making it a cost-effective solution for long-term recording. Its robust full metal housing combined with an IP67 rating makes it highly resistant to water and dust, guaranteeing reliable outdoor performance, while its up to 30m IR night vision ensures continuous monitoring in complete darkness.

The HiLook IPC-T361H-MU is an ideal solution for residential properties, small businesses, and commercial sites seeking a high-performance, intelligent, and durable security camera. Its blend of high-resolution imaging, smart detection, integrated audio, and extreme weather resilience provides a robust and comprehensive surveillance solution that is easy to integrate with existing Hikvision or HiLook NVR systems, offering professional-grade security.

How it compares

All four are 30 m infrared IP67 turrets with 120 dB WDR, on-camera AI and standard 802.3af PoE. The real choice is between the Value models (microSD slot, higher frame rate) and the Pro models (faster F1.2 lens, much wider view, but no card slot).

Complete your system

Every HiLook IP camera records to a network video recorder (NVR), which also powers the camera over PoE. This model runs on standard 802.3af PoE, so any HiLook or Hikvision NVR PoE port or standard PoE switch will run it. Choose a recorder with enough channels for the whole site.

Browse all NVRs →

Works with your system

Smart storage & bandwidth. H.265+ compression cuts storage and bandwidth substantially against older H.264 systems — fewer drives, longer retention, less network load.

HiLook & Hikvision NVRs

Plug-and-play over PoE, with AI event search on a supporting recorder.

Hik-Connect app

Live view, playback and push notifications on iOS & Android.

iVMS-4200

Free desktop software for multi-camera management.

ONVIF conformant

ONVIF Profile S, G — integrates with compatible third-party NVRs and VMS.

Power over Ethernet

Standard 802.3af PoE — a single cable for power and data.

Frequently asked questions

Infrared reaches up to 30 m using 850 nm LEDs. The camera gives full colour by day and switches to black-and-white infrared at night.

No. This model uses infrared, so night footage is black-and-white. For 24/7 full-colour imaging you need a white-light camera such as the HiLook Hi-Color series.

No. The IPC-T361H-MU (2.8 mm) has a built-in microphone only — it records audio alongside video, but there is no speaker and no audio output, so two-way talk is not supported.

Yes. It has a microSD card slot taking cards up to 512 GB, so it can record on-board as well as to a recorder.

PoE (802.3af, Class 3), max 9.5 W — or 12 V DC, 8 W. It runs from any standard PoE switch or a HiLook or Hikvision NVR PoE port.

It is ONVIF conformant (ONVIF Profile S, G) and works plug-and-play with HiLook and Hikvision NVRs. AI human and vehicle event search requires a recorder that supports it.

Yes. The housing is rated IP67 for dust and water and it operates from −30 °C to 60 °C. No vandal (IK) rating is published for this model.
