The UniFi Enterprise Campus 24S PoE in depth

Enterprise Layer 3 switching with Stacking

The ECS-24S-PoE is an enterprise-grade 24-port, Layer 3 Etherlighting™ PoE+++ switch built for high availability system design. It supports Switch Stacking and offers 460 Gbps of switching capacity, 230 Gbps of total non-blocking throughput and a 342 Mpps forwarding rate. It supports 1,000 VLANs, a 32,000-entry MAC address table and 512 IPv4 static routes.

High-capacity ports and PoE+++ power

All 24 PoE+++ ports are multi-gigabit: 8 x 2.5 GbE RJ45 and 16 x 10 GbE RJ45, with an additional 1 GbE RJ45 port. For uplinks and high-speed connections there are 4 x 25G SFP28 and 2 x 100G QSFP28 ports. Per-port output reaches PoE+++ at 90W, with PoE at 15.4W, PoE+ at 30W and PoE++ at 60W also listed. Total PoE availability depends on the supply voltage, modules and mode: for example 1,050W in 100-240V AC shared mode with (2) 600W modules, or 2,250W in 200-240V AC shared mode with (2) 1,200W modules.

Redundant, serviceable hardware

The switch includes (2) hot-swappable AC/DC 600W power modules and (4) hot-swappable fan modules, alongside Switch Stacking for redundancy. A 1.3" touchscreen LCM display is built in. The SGCC steel enclosure fits a 1U full-depth rack. It requires a 4-post rack, or a center-mount bracket or cantilever shelf on 2-post racks for optimal support. The record recommends pairing it with Enterprise Campus Aggregation.

It has 8 x 2.5 GbE RJ45 and 16 x 10 GbE RJ45 ports, all PoE+++, plus 1 x 1 GbE RJ45, 4 x 25G SFP28, 2 x 100G QSFP28 and a console port.

It depends on the input voltage, power modules and mode. With (2) 600W modules, 100-240V AC shared mode gives 1,050W and redundant mode gives 450W. With (2) 1,200W modules, 200-240V AC shared mode gives 2,250W.
