Professional Overview

The Ubiquiti EAV-XG-24-PoE is the flagship of the UniFi Enterprise Audio/Video line: a 1U, full-depth 24-port 10G switch engineered specifically for professional AV-over-IP deployments. All 24 RJ45 ports deliver multi-gigabit rates from 10M to 10G with PoE+++ (802.3bt) on every port, powering cameras, encoders, decoders and amplified endpoints at up to 90W each from a 2,150W shared PoE budget backed by dual hot-swappable 1,200W supplies.

What separates the EAV-XG from general-purpose switches is its timing architecture. A high-precision OCXO oscillator drives PTP timing, and a dedicated SMA input accepts an external GPS grandmaster reference, enabling the deterministic synchronisation that SMPTE ST 2110 broadcast video, SDVoE distribution and AES67 networked audio demand. For venues, studios, stadiums and command centres, this means frame-accurate video walls and sample-accurate audio without a separate timing appliance.

Backhaul is handled by four 100G QSFP28 uplinks (also supporting 40G), giving the platform 1,280 Gbps of switching capacity, 640 Gbps of non-blocking throughput and an 810 Mpps forwarding rate. Layer 3 capability covers 512 IPv4 static routes and 1,000 VLANs with a 32,000-entry MAC table, so AV traffic can be segmented and routed at line rate alongside control networks.

Serviceability is enterprise-grade throughout: hot-swappable PSUs and four hot-swappable fan modules, a 1.3" touchscreen for on-device status, SGCC steel enclosure, and support for standard 19" four-post racks. The EAV-XG-24-PoE ships under Ubiquiti’s deal-registration program — contact ARC IP Networks to register your project and confirm lead time on Australian stock.
