At a glance

The Hikvision DS-2CD6944G1-IHSUY is a 16 MP PanoVu panoramic camera with four 2.8 mm F1.0 lenses that are spliced into one seamless 180° image (185° × 110° panorama) at 4800 × 2688. It replaces several fixed cameras on large open areas such as car parks, plazas, stadium concourses, logistics yards and transport hubs. DarkFighter keeps colour detail in dim light, remote motorised pan and tilt makes aiming easy, and a heater, IP67, IK10 and NEMA 4X protection let it run from −40 °C.

PanoVu FAQ – DS-2CD6944G1-IHSUY

It is a 16 MP PanoVu 180° panoramic camera with four 2.8 mm F1.0 lenses spliced into one 4800 × 2688 image. It adds DarkFighter low light, IR up to 20 m, remote motorised pan and tilt, deep-learning perimeter protection and a heater for −40 °C operation.

The spliced panorama covers 185° horizontally and 110° vertically, so a single camera on a wall or corner can watch the whole space in front of it. Each lens alone covers 111.1° horizontally.

In panorama mode the main stream runs at up to 50 fps (50 Hz) or 60 fps (60 Hz) at 4800 × 2688, giving smooth video of moving people and vehicles.

Yes. Deep-learning perimeter protection supports line crossing, intrusion, region entrance and region exiting, with alarms limited to humans and/or vehicles. People density detection is also available in panorama mode.

It accepts PoE IEEE 802.3at (Class 4), max. 25 W, 12 VDC (max. 26.4 W) or 24 VAC (max. 24 W).

Yes. It has a built-in heater with start-up and operation from −40 °C to 60 °C, and is rated IP67, IK10 and NEMA 4X for moderate anti-corrosion protection.

Yes. The -U model has 2 built-in microphones, plus line-in and line-out terminals for external audio devices.

Professional overview

The Hikvision DS-2CD6944G1-IHSUY is a 16 MP PanoVu panoramic camera that uses four 2.8 mm lenses to create one seamless 180° image. The spliced panorama measures 4800 × 2688 and covers 185° horizontally by 110° vertically, presenting the full view covered by all four lenses in one image. It is built for large open spaces – car parks, plazas, stadium concourses, transport hubs, logistics yards and campus grounds – where several conventional cameras would otherwise be needed.

Each lens has an F1.0 aperture, and DarkFighter technology captures colour down to 0.002 lux, with black and white down to 0.0005 lux. Four 850 nm IR LEDs illuminate up to 20 m. The camera records the full panorama at up to 60 fps, and H.265+ compression with bit rates up to 64 Mbps preserves detail for control-room video walls. Remote motorised pan and tilt lets the installer fine-tune aiming after the camera is mounted.

Deep-learning perimeter protection classifies humans and vehicles for line crossing, intrusion, region entrance and region exiting rules, and people density detection in panorama mode helps operators spot crowding. Two built-in microphones, audio in/out, 2 alarm inputs and outputs, RS-485 and Gigabit Ethernet support integration with access control, sirens and VMS platforms. TPM 2.0 provides hardware-level security.

The housing is made from aluminium alloy and plastic, rated IP67 and IK10 with NEMA 4X anti-corrosion protection, and its built-in heater allows start-up from −40 °C. It runs on 802.3at PoE+, 12 VDC or 24 VAC and records locally to microSD up to 1 TB. It comes with the full Hikvision manufacturer’s warranty. Australian stock from ARC IP Networks.
