The Synology CC400W in depth

Wire-free placement, wide coverage

The CC400W connects over dual-band Wi-Fi, so it can go wherever there is power without a network cable run. Its 4 MP (2560x1440) image and 125° view cover a whole room or entrance, HDR keeps detail in shadows and bright areas, and infrared provides night vision up to 10 m. Wall, ceiling and magnet mounting give flexible positioning, and the IP65 rating handles dust and rain.

Talk back and let AI do the watching

A built-in microphone and speaker allow two-way conversations to deter threats or give instructions. On-camera AI detects people and vehicles, alerts on line crossings, counts entries and exits, tracks people across the frame and powers Instant Search. Paired with Synology DVA models, it adds face and licence plate recognition.

Simple to add, secure to run

Add the camera with the DS cam app and manage it in Surveillance Station with no device licence to buy. Firmware updates can be applied in batch, failover recording switches to microSD if the connection drops, and HTTPS, SRTP, signed firmware and secure boot protect the camera and its footage.
