Wi-Fi 6 or Wi-Fi 7?
Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) is the sensible default in 2026: every current phone and laptop supports it, and the hAP ax2 and ax3 deliver 1200 Mbit/s on 5 GHz plus 574 Mbit/s on 2.4 GHz. Wi-Fi 7 matters when you have Wi-Fi 7 clients and a fast WAN to feed them: the hAP be lite brings BE3600 and a 2.5G port at an entry price, while the hAP be3 Media adds the 6 GHz band, five 2.5G ports and enough CPU and RAM for containers and media services.
Picking by household
Small home, standard NBN: hAP ax lite if you only need 2.4 GHz, otherwise the hAP ax2. Large home or home office with gigabit NBN: hAP ax3 for its 2.5G port and level 6 licence, or hAP be lite if your clients are Wi-Fi 7. Multi-room coverage: pair any hAP with one or more cAP ax ceiling access points and manage them together with CAPsMAN; the hAP ax2 can power one cAP over its PoE-out port.
