ARC IP — Authorised Ubiquiti Reseller | UniFi Dream Machine SE (UDM-SE) in stock in Australia | 1300 100 440 arcip.com.au

Overview

The Ubiquiti UDM-SE (UniFi Dream Machine Special Edition) is an all-in-one 10G cloud gateway that runs your entire UniFi network — routing, an 8-port PoE switch, WiFi control and a built-in UniFi Protect NVR — in a single 1U rack-mount unit. It delivers up to 3.5 Gbps IDS/IPS throughput, manages 100+ UniFi devices and 1,000+ clients, and powers your access points and cameras directly. Genuine Australian stock with local warranty and support from ARC IP Networks, an authorised Ubiquiti reseller.

Key features

3.5 Gbps IDS/IPS

Enterprise routing with intrusion detection & prevention at up to 3.5 Gbps for advanced security.

Built-in 8-port PoE switch

(2) PoE+ and (6) PoE ports with a 180 W budget — power UniFi APs, cameras and switches directly.

Dual 10G SFP+

10 Gigabit SFP+ on both WAN and LAN, plus 2.5 GbE, for true multi-gig internet and high-speed uplinks.

Built-in UniFi Protect NVR

3.5" HDD bay plus a 128 GB SSD — record up to (8) 4K, (14) 2K or (24) HD cameras.

Scales with you

Manages 100+ UniFi devices and 1,000+ simultaneous clients from a single controller.

1U rack-mount

Enterprise 1U form factor with a 1.3" touchscreen and Bluetooth setup.

Power backup ready

Supports DC power backup and VRRP gateway failover for resilient 24/7 operation.

UDM-SE vs UDM-Pro vs UDM-Pro-Max

All three are 1U UniFi cloud gateways running the full UniFi suite. The key difference: the UDM-SE is the only one with a built-in PoE switch, so it powers your access points and cameras directly. Step up to the UDM-Pro-Max for higher throughput and capacity.

Frequently asked questions

Does the UDM-SE come with a hard drive?
No — the 3.5" NVR bay ships empty. Add your own 3.5" HDD for UniFi Protect recordings. It does include a built-in 128 GB SSD for the system and AI detection clips.
How many PoE ports does the UDM-SE have?
An integrated 8-port PoE switch — (2) PoE+ and (6) PoE ports, with a 180 W total budget — enough to power UniFi access points, cameras and switches directly.
What’s the difference between the UDM-SE and the UDM-Pro?
The UDM-SE adds a built-in 8-port PoE switch (180 W), a 128 GB SSD and a 2.5 GbE WAN port, so it powers and runs your UniFi devices out of the box. The UDM-Pro has no PoE. Both run the full UniFi suite with 3.5 Gbps IDS/IPS.
Can the UDM-SE run UniFi Protect cameras?
Yes. Its built-in NVR manages up to (24) HD, (14) 2K or (8) 4K UniFi Protect cameras — add a 3.5" HDD to store footage.
Is the UDM-SE rack-mountable?
Yes — it’s a 1U rack-mount unit (442 mm wide) that installs into any standard 19" rack.
How fast is the UDM-SE?
Up to 3.5 Gbps routing throughput with IDS/IPS enabled, with dual 10G SFP+ plus 2.5 GbE WAN options for multi-gig internet.
Does it include an Australian warranty?
Yes. ARC IP Networks is an authorised Ubiquiti reseller — every UDM-SE is genuine Australian stock with local warranty and support. Call 1300 100 440.
Does the UDM-SE have built-in WiFi?
No — the UDM-SE is a gateway, switch and NVR, not an access point. Add UniFi access points for wireless; the UDM-SE powers them over PoE and manages them from the same console.
Do I need a separate PoE switch?
No. The UDM-SE has a built-in 8-port PoE switch (180 W), so it powers UniFi access points and cameras directly — unlike the UDM-Pro, which has no PoE.
Does the UDM-SE support VLANs and VPNs?
Yes — full VLAN support, plus site-to-site VPN, client VPN (WireGuard, OpenVPN, L2TP) and UniFi Teleport for one-tap remote access.
Which UniFi applications can it run?
All of them from one console: UniFi Network, Protect (cameras), Access (door entry), Talk (VoIP), Connect and InnerSpace.
