Yealink QD-RJ9 Quick Disconnect to RJ9 Cord for YHS34, YHS34 Lite and YHS36 Headsets overview

The QD-RJ9 cord is the link between a Yealink wired headset's quick-disconnect (QD) connector and the standard RJ9 headset port on the phone. Keeping a spare on hand avoids downtime when a cord is damaged — a common failure point on cords that are plugged and unplugged daily.

Leader Systems part IPY-QD-RJ9-CORD.

Frequently asked questions

Straight answers from the ARC IP Networks team. Last reviewed October 2026.

It is a push-fit connector on the headset cable that lets the agent unplug from the phone and walk away without removing the headset — the cord disconnects at the QD point, not at the headband.

The YHS34, YHS34 Lite and YHS36 corded headsets all use the QD-RJ9 cord.

Yes — it plugs straight into the headset jack on supported Yealink IP phones.
