The Mercusys MS110CMP is an 8-port 10/100 Mbps + 2-port Gigabit desktop switch with eight PoE+ ports. Mercusys quotes up to 30 W per PoE port and a 115 W budget, two Gigabit non-PoE uplinks for the router and NVR, Extend Mode to 250 m, Isolation Mode and PoE Auto Recovery, aimed at small and medium business IP surveillance.

MS110CMP overview

On its Australian page Mercusys calls the MS110CMP ideal for small and medium business IP surveillance and gives it a 115 W PoE budget. Its highlights list eight 10/100 Mbps PoE+ ports and two Gigabit non-PoE ports, with PoE power of up to 30 W per port and 115 W across all PoE ports for 802.3af/at compliant devices. Mercusys notes that budget calculations come from laboratory testing and the real budget is not guaranteed. The Australian page lists hardware version V1.

The two Gigabit ports are the reason to choose the MS110CMP over a fully 10/100 switch. With Isolation Mode on, they become two uplinks, one for the internet connection and one for the NVR, while Isolation Mode separates the PoE port traffic for stability and security. Extend Mode increases PoE transmission distance to 250 m; ports in that mode drop to 10 Mbps, and Mercusys says the actual distance varies with cable quality. PoE Auto Recovery automatically reboots dropped or unresponsive powered devices.

Mercusys calls it plug and play, deployable without a technician. Its specification table, however, is less consistent than the title: it lists 10 x 10/100 Mbps ports, names the package item a 10-port 10/100 Mbps switch, and gives a 53.5 V / 1.31 A adapter with power figures quoted for a 65 W load. If the Gigabit uplinks or the full 115 W budget are critical to your design, contact us to confirm before ordering. The spec table also lists 802.3x flow control, a 2K MAC table and 2 KB jumbo frames.

The metal case measures 171 x 98 x 27 mm (6.7 x 3.9 x 1.1 in) and installs on a desk or wall. It operates from 0 to 40 °C. Box contents: switch, power adapter, Quick Installation Guide.
