Professional Overview

The MikroTik L009UiGS-RM is a compact Gigabit Ethernet router designed as the modern successor to the legendary RB2011 series. Built around a dual-core ARM IPQ-5018 CPU running at 800 MHz with 512 MB RAM, it delivers up to four times the routing performance of its predecessor in fast path, bridge filtering, and IPsec encryption scenarios.

The router features 8 Gigabit Ethernet ports driven by a Marvell Peridot 88E6190 switch chip with a 2.5 Gbps full duplex connection to the CPU, plus an SFP cage supporting both standard 1G and 2.5G modules. PoE-in on Ether1 accepts 802.3af/at power (24-56V), while passive PoE-out on Ether8 can power a downstream device at up to 1A.

Running RouterOS v7 with a Level 5 license, the L009 supports advanced routing, VPN (IPsec with hardware encryption at 60-90 Mbps throughput), firewall rules, QoS, and container projects via the USB 3.0 port. The ARM architecture enables running Docker containers directly on the router — from Pi-hole ad-blocking to custom network services. An RJ45 serial console provides direct-access configuration.

The aluminium enclosure doubles as a passive heatsink with an operating range of -40°C to 70°C. This RM variant includes rackmount accessories allowing up to four L009 units in a single 1U space. Certified CE, EAC, and ROHS with an IP20 rating. Australian stock from ARC IP Networks.
