At a glance

The HiLook IPC-T269H-MU/SL (2.8 mm) is a 6 MP active-deterrence turret. When it detects a person or vehicle it does not just record — it switches on a strobe light and sounds an audible warning, and you can speak through it live via two-way audio. Dual illuminators give infrared to 30 m for discreet monitoring or white light for full-colour night footage.

Why choose the IPC-T269H-MU/SL (2.8 mm)

The HiLook IPC-T269H-MU/SL (2.8 mm) is for places where you want to stop an incident, not just have a recording of it afterwards. On a confirmed human or vehicle detection it triggers a strobe and an audible warning, and its two-way audio — a built-in microphone and 95 dB speaker with line in and line out — lets you challenge someone from your phone before they get any further. It also carries alarm input and output, so it can trigger, or be triggered by, other equipment on site. It runs on ordinary 802.3af PoE, so it drops onto an existing switch without a power rethink. Supplied and supported by ARC IP Networks with genuine Australian stock, Australian warranty and local support.

Best for

  • Sites with repeat trespass: a strobe and audible warning turns people around before they commit.
  • After-hours yards and car parks: deterrence fires only on confirmed people and vehicles, so it stays credible.
  • Evidence quality at night: white light gives full-colour footage; infrared keeps routine monitoring discreet.
  • Where you need to talk to people: two-way audio and alarm I/O for live challenge and integration with other equipment.

Professional Overview

The HiLook by Hikvision IPC-T269H-MU/SL is a sophisticated 6MP Smart Dual-Light turret IP camera, meticulously engineered to provide comprehensive and proactive security surveillance. Boasting a 1/2.4" Progressive Scan CMOS sensor and delivering crisp 6-megapixel resolution, this camera captures high-quality images, crucial for clear event reconstruction and accurate monitoring. Its 2.8mm fixed lens provides a wide field of view, making it ideal for monitoring broad areas.

A standout feature of the IPC-T269H-MU/SL is its Smart Dual-light Supplement technology, which ensures 24/7 colorful imaging by intelligently switching from IR night vision to white light when an event is triggered. This not only provides vivid, full-color footage around the clock but also acts as a visual deterrent. Furthermore, its active deterrence capabilities, including a highly visible red and blue strobe light and an audible alarm, are designed to immediately warn off intruders, preventing potential incidents before they escalate. Real-time security is enhanced by the built-in two-way audio, enabling direct communication with individuals on site.

Crafted for reliability and durability, this camera features a robust full metal housing, ensuring its longevity in various environmental conditions. Its IP67 rating provides superior protection against water and dust, making it perfectly suited for challenging outdoor deployments. With an IR night vision range of up to 30 meters, the camera maintains constant vigilance, ensuring no activity goes unnoticed even in complete darkness.

The HiLook IPC-T269H-MU/SL is an ideal surveillance solution for residential properties, small businesses, and commercial sites that require high-resolution video, intelligent lighting, integrated two-way communication, and proactive intruder deterrence. Its combination of advanced imaging, smart features, and rugged construction provides a dependable and effective security system, offering superior peace of mind through enhanced monitoring and active threat response capabilities.

How it compares

Both are IP67 active-deterrence turrets with a strobe, an audible warning, dual infrared and white-light illumination to 30 m and on-camera AI. They differ in three ways that matter on site: two-way audio, alarm I/O and how much power they need.

Frequently asked questions

On a confirmed human or vehicle detection the camera triggers an active strobe light and an audible warning, and can push an alert to your phone. Because detection uses deep-learning classification rather than simple motion, it is far less likely to fire at animals, rain or moving foliage.

Hikvision’s specification table defines the /SL suffix as a white light, while the marketing material for the same model describes a red and blue strobe. Because the official sources disagree we do not advertise a specific colour — if the colour matters for your site, ask us and we will confirm with the distributor before you order.

Yes. The IPC-T269H-MU/SL (2.8 mm) supports two-way audio — a built-in microphone, a 1.2 W speaker, 95 dB at 10 cm, and line in and line out, so you can listen and speak live from the app.

It can. The camera has both infrared and white-light illuminators reaching 30 m. Infrared gives discreet black-and-white footage; white light gives full colour. It can also switch to white light automatically when an event is detected, so routine monitoring stays discreet and incidents are captured in colour.

PoE (802.3af, Class 3), max 9.7 W — or 12 V DC, 8.4 W. It runs from any standard PoE switch or NVR PoE port.

Yes. It takes a microSD card up to 256 GB for on-board recording, as well as recording to a network video recorder.

Yes. The housing is rated IP67 for dust and water and it operates from −30 °C to 60 °C. No vandal (IK) rating is published for this model.
