DeepinView FAQ – iDS-2CD7186G0-IZS

It is an 8 MP DeepinView motorised varifocal dome camera with on-board deep learning for face capture and comparison, multi-target-type detection, perimeter protection, people counting, queue management, heat maps, on/off-duty and hard hat detection.

This product is the 2.8–12 mm version. Its horizontal field of view ranges from 112.3° to 41.2°, and at the tele end Hikvision rates identification at 21.6 m. The lens is motorised, so zoom and focus are set remotely.

For the 2.8–12 mm model the IR illuminator reaches up to 30 m. (The 8–32 mm version reaches 50 m.) Smart Supplement Light reduces over-exposure on close subjects.

Yes. It supports multi-dimension people counting with face-based de-duplication, queue management with queue length and waiting-time alarms, regional people counting and heat maps, with daily, weekly, monthly and annual reports.

Up to 10 face libraries of 30,000 faces each – 150,000 faces in total, with library encryption. It detects up to 120 faces at once and uploads up to 10 face pictures per second.

Hikvision lists an IK10 vandal-resistance rating for this model but no IP rating, so it is best suited to indoor or covered locations such as lobbies, shopfronts under awnings and car-park entries.

It accepts PoE IEEE 802.3at (Class 4), max. 12.5 W, 12 VDC (max. 12.4 W) or 24 VAC (max. 11.8 W).

Professional overview

The Hikvision iDS-2CD7186G0-IZS is an 8 MP varifocal dome from the DeepinView range that combines security and business analytics in one device. A 1/1.8″ progressive scan CMOS records 3840 × 2160 video at up to 30 fps through a 2.8–12 mm motorised lens with P-iris, covering 112.3° to 41.2° horizontally. It is well suited to retail stores, bank branches, transport lobbies and commercial interiors that need detailed footage and useful operational data from the same camera.

Image quality is driven by DarkFighter, with colour down to 0.002 lux and black and white down to 0.0002 lux at F1.2, plus 850 nm IR up to 30 m on the 2.8–12 mm model. A 120 dB WDR handles bright entrances and windows, and EIS steadies the image. Five video streams and H.265+ let you record in 4K while viewing and running analytics on lower-resolution streams.

The deep-learning toolset is extensive. Face capture detects up to 120 faces at once and supports comparison against up to 150,000 enrolled faces. Multi-target-type detection captures bodies, faces and vehicles with searchable attributes. For operations, the camera offers multi-dimension people counting with de-duplication, queue management, regional people counting, heat maps and on/off-duty detection, while perimeter protection and hard hat detection cover security and safety. The AI Open Platform can host up to four custom models.

The dome has an aluminium alloy body rated IK10, Gigabit Ethernet, a built-in microphone, audio in/out, alarm I/O, RS-485 and microSD storage up to 1 TB, with TPM 2.0 for hardware security. It runs on PoE 802.3at, 12 VDC or 24 VAC and supports ONVIF Profile S, G, T and M. It comes with the full Hikvision manufacturer’s warranty. Australian stock from ARC IP Networks.
