DGS-1210-52MP FAQ

How many PoE devices can the DGS-1210-52MP power at full load?

The DGS-1210-52MP has a 370 W PoE budget shared across its 48 PoE ports, supporting IEEE 802.3af (up to 15.4 W) and 802.3at PoE+ (up to 30 W per port). That is sufficient for approximately 24 standard PoE IP cameras or VoIP phones at 15.4 W each, or about 12 PoE+ Wi-Fi 6 access points at 30 W each — with remaining ports supplying data-only connectivity.

What is the difference between DGS-1210-52MP and DGS-1210-28MP?

Both are Smart Managed Layer 2+ switches in the same DGS-1210 Series with 370 W PoE+ and SFP combo uplinks. The 52MP provides 48 Gigabit PoE+ ports (vs 24 on the 28MP), 104 Gbps switching (vs 56 Gbps), 77.4 Mpps forwarding (vs 41.7 Mpps), a larger 16K MAC table, and a wider chassis (440 × 430 × 44 mm, 6.26 kg) with three fans for higher port density deployments.

Does the DGS-1210-52MP support VLAN routing and IPv6 static routes?

Yes. The DGS-1210-52MP supports 256 static 802.1Q VLAN groups, 4 IP interfaces, and Layer 2+ IP routing with 124 IPv4 and 50 IPv6 static routes, plus IPv6 Neighbor Discovery. Auto Voice VLAN and Auto Surveillance VLAN (ONVIF) simplify voice and IP camera deployments.

Is the DGS-1210-52MP rack-mountable and how big is the chassis?

Yes. The DGS-1210-52MP ships in a 1U 19-inch rack-mount chassis measuring 440 × 430 × 44 mm and weighs 6.26 kg. Rack-mount ears are included. Three internal fans provide active cooling under full PoE+ load (up to 478.9 W at 100 V).

How do I manage the DGS-1210-52MP?

You can manage the DGS-1210-52MP through a multilingual web-based GUI, a compact CLI over Telnet, SNMP v1/v2c/v3 for D-View 7.0 or any third-party NMS, and the free D-Link Network Assistant (DNA) utility for bulk discovery, IP assignment, firmware upgrades, and password changes across multiple DGS-1210 switches.

Is the DGS-1210-52MP Australian stock with local warranty?

Yes. ARC IP Networks supplies the DGS-1210-52MP as Australian stock with RCM compliance and full D-Link Australia warranty support. Certifications include CE, VCCI, FCC Class A, BSMI, CCC EMI and CB, UL, BSMI, CCC safety. Designed for continuous operation between −5 and 50 °C with 0–95% non-condensing humidity.

Professional Overview

The D-Link DGS-1210-52MP is a Smart Managed Layer 2+ switch built for high-density business networks that need dense PoE delivery across many access endpoints. It provides 48 10/100/1000BASE-T PoE+ ports and 4 Gigabit SFP/RJ45 combo uplinks in a single 1U rack-mount appliance.

A 370 W PoE budget paired with full IEEE 802.3af / 802.3at compliance supports wide-scale PoE rollouts across IP cameras, VoIP handsets, and PoE+ Wi-Fi 6 access points. With 104 Gbps non-blocking switching capacity, 77.4 Mpps forwarding rate, and a 16K MAC address table, the DGS-1210-52MP comfortably handles traffic-heavy surveillance and converged voice-and-data environments.

Auto Voice VLAN and Auto Surveillance VLAN with ONVIF camera discovery simplify convergence, while D-Link’s Safeguard Engine, 802.1X authentication, ACLs, ARP Spoofing Prevention, DHCP Server Screening, and IP-MAC-Port Binding secure the edge.

Management options include a multilingual web GUI, compact CLI via Telnet, SNMP v1/v2c/v3 for D-View 7.0 integration, and the free D-Link Network Assistant (DNA) utility for multi-switch orchestration. IEEE 802.3az Energy Efficient Ethernet and D-Link Green power scheduling keep operational costs down, with triple-fan cooling sustaining full PoE+ load.

Housed in a 440 × 430 × 44 mm 1U chassis weighing 6.26 kg, and fully Australian-certified (RCM, FCC, CE, CB, UL, BSMI, CCC), the DGS-1210-52MP is a dependable core for mid-size SMB and branch-office access layers. Australian stock from ARC IP Networks.
