Microsoft Teams Premium in depth

An add-on to Teams

Teams Premium builds on the current Teams experience and does not replace a Teams licence. Users need both a Teams licence and a Teams Premium licence for the Premium features to work.

More protected meetings

Organisers can watermark content and video, apply end-to-end encryption, restrict who records and transcribes, and use sensitivity labels and templates so sensitive meetings get the right settings every time.

More engaging and intelligent

Brand meetings with your logo and colours, run advanced appointments with reminders and lobby rooms, and handle call queues with the Queues app. Intelligent recap and live translation help everyone catch up and follow along.

Teams Premium is an add-on licence that builds on Teams with advanced meeting protection, branding, the Queues app, intelligent recap and more. It does not replace your Teams licence.

Yes. You need a paid version of Teams, such as a Microsoft 365 business plan with Teams. The Queues app also needs a Teams Phone licence.

Users must be licensed for both Teams Phone and Teams Premium.

Meeting organisers must have a Teams Premium licence to use end-to-end encryption in meetings. Microsoft notes Teams Premium is not required for end-to-end encryption in one-to-one calls.

No. It is assigned per user, and to manage Teams Premium features your tenant needs at least one active Teams Premium licence. Assign it to the users who organise or need the premium experiences.

ARC IP Networks is an authorised Microsoft CSP reseller. We supply Microsoft Teams Premium as an annual subscription, set it up on your existing Microsoft 365 tenant or a new one, and provide local Australian support.
