Vehicle Memory Card FAQ – AE-MW3TF1 256 GB

It is a 256 GB microSDXC memory card from Hikvision’s AE-MW3TF vehicle video series, using TLC flash and a UHS-I SDR104 interface. It is designed for vehicle DVRs, travelling data recorders and other in-vehicle video products.

Hikvision rates the 256 GB model at up to 90 MB/s write and up to 100 MB/s read.

It operates from 0 °C to 70 °C and can be stored from −40 °C to 85 °C, with operating humidity of 10% to 95%.

It is a standard microSDXC card, so it works in devices that accept 256 GB microSDXC cards. Some dash cams are limited to smaller cards; for example the Hikvision C6 Pro (AE-DC5313-C6PRO) supports up to 128 GB, so check your device’s maximum first.

Hikvision lists a working life of 1,000 cycles, 10,000 insertion/removal cycles, and bending, torque and salt-water spray testing.

Professional overview

The Hikvision AE-MW3TF1 (TLC/256G) is a 256 GB microSDXC card from Hikvision’s Intelligent Vehicle Solutions accessory range. Hikvision describes the AE-MW3TF series as optimised for long-duration on-board video recording, with a more stable read/write experience in vehicle DVRs and travelling data recorders.

The card uses TLC flash with a UHS-I SDR104 interface, and Hikvision rates the 256 GB version at up to 90 MB/s write and 100 MB/s read. It is SD 6.1 compatible, runs at 2.7–3.6 V and is rated for 1,000 cycles of working life.

Vehicle recording is hard on memory cards: constant writes, heat in parked cars and vibration. The AE-MW3TF1 operates from 0 °C to 70 °C, stores from −40 °C to 85 °C, and is tested for 10,000 insertion/removal cycles, bending, torque and salt-water spray.

Use it in Hikvision mobile recorders and other devices that accept 256 GB microSDXC cards. It comes with the full Hikvision manufacturer’s warranty. Australian stock from ARC IP Networks.
