MikroTik 23-40 Rack Rail R0 Universal Rear Support Rails for 23 to 40 Inch Deep Cabinets

Rack ears hold the front of a device. In a deep cabinet, on anything with real weight in it, that is not enough — the chassis sags, the ears take the strain, and over time the mounting holes elongate. These rails run front to back and give the rear of the unit something to sit on, adjusting to fit cabinets from 23 to 40 inches deep. There is a second benefit worth knowing: the rear section can itself be used to mount a smaller MikroTik device, so the dead space behind a shallow unit becomes usable rack space instead of air.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need rails if the device has rack ears?

For a light unit in a shallow cabinet, no. For anything heavy, anything with redundant supplies, or anything in a deep cabinet, yes — ears alone put the whole load on four screws at the front, and over time that damages both the device and the rack.

Will they fit a non-MikroTik rack?

They are universal rails for standard 19 inch cabinets and adjust across a 23 to 40 inch depth range, so they are not tied to MikroTik enclosures.

What is the rear mounting position for?

MikroTik designed the rear section so a smaller device can be fixed to it. In practice that means the empty space behind a shallow switch can hold something else rather than being wasted.

Is a set enough for one device?

One kit provides the rear support for one device. Order one per unit you intend to support.

Buying from ARC IP Networks

Indent item. This product is not currently held by Australian distribution, so it is brought in to order. Contact us for lead time and confirmed pricing before you commit to it on a job. The price shown is indicative, based on MikroTik's published pricing and our normal landed cost on the rest of the MikroTik range. It is confirmed in writing on your quote before anything is ordered.

ARC IP Networks is a Melbourne-based network integrator in Blackburn, Victoria. MikroTik hardware we supply is genuine stock brought in through authorised distribution, with manufacturer warranty handled locally and your rights under Australian Consumer Law on top of it.

We hold trade accounts for installers, integrators and electrical contractors, and we price match against any written quote from an Australian supplier. For project volumes it is worth talking to us directly rather than ordering line by line.

Beyond supply we design and deploy the networks this hardware runs on — structured cabling, PoE switching, wireless design, and GPON fibre infrastructure through our sister company ARC DATA.
