Professional Overview

The Ubiquiti UF-OLT-4 is a powerful yet compact Optical Line Terminal (OLT) that serves as the central hub of a high-performance Gigabit Passive Optical Network (GPON). It is meticulously designed for Wireless Internet Service Providers (WISPs) and other service providers seeking a cost-effective, scalable, and easily manageable solution for deploying Fiber-to-the-x (FTTx) services. The UF-OLT-4 brings carrier-class features to a price point that makes building a next-generation fiber network accessible to a wider range of operators.

Engineered for performance, the device features four GPON SFP ports, each capable of supporting downstream speeds of 2.488 Gbps and upstream speeds of 1.244 Gbps. Each port can handle up to 128 client ONUs, allowing the compact 1U chassis to serve a total of 512 subscribers. To prevent network bottlenecks and provide a high-capacity connection to the internet backbone, the UF-OLT-4 is equipped with a 10G SFP+ uplink port, ensuring that the aggregate traffic from your subscribers can be efficiently routed to your core network.

Reliability and deployment flexibility are key strengths of the UF-OLT-4. It offers versatile power options with both an external AC/DC adapter and a DC terminal block input. This dual-power capability allows for the implementation of a redundant power system, a critical feature for service providers who need to guarantee maximum uptime. Its slim 1U rack-mount design allows for seamless integration into standard server racks for a clean and professional installation.

Management is streamlined through Ubiquiti's powerful and intuitive ISP (UISP) platform (formerly UNMS). This centralized management system provides a single pane of glass to configure the OLT, provision new ONUs, manage subscriber plans, and monitor the health and performance of the entire GPON network. This simplifies network operations, reduces administrative overhead, and allows for rapid scaling as your subscriber base grows, making the UF-OLT-4 an intelligent choice for any modern fiber deployment.
