The UniFi Access G2 Starter Kit in depth
All-in-one kit for a single door
The Access G2 Starter Kit is a simple, all-in-one kit for UniFi Access, designed to manage a single door with one reader. It supports seamless setup for modern, secure access control. The box contains one Door Hub, one G2 Reader and ten Access Cards, and the system is managed through UniFi Access.
Door Hub
The Door Hub supports one door and measures 174.9 x 126 x 32.9 mm, weighing 363 g. It has a polycarbonate enclosure, includes DIN-rail mounting and provides five 10/100/1000 Base-T ports. It is powered by a PoE++ input at 50V DC, 1A, and offers four PoE outputs at 30W per port (max 45W aggregated). Input terminals cover door exit request, door position and emergency, and it has dry and powered output relays for the lock and auxiliary devices.
G2 Reader and Access Cards
The G2 Reader measures 93 x 40 x 36.5 mm, weighs 82 g and is rated IP55. It has a polycarbonate and glass enclosure, an aluminium alloy mount and a proximity sensor. It connects over BLE 4.1 and NFC, with an NFC read range of less than 30 mm at 13.56 MHz. It mounts in-wall with the included gang box, or on an optional junction box. The ISO 7810 ID-1 Access Cards measure 85.6 x 53.98 x 0.84 mm.
