The TP-Link SG3452XP is an Omada Access Plus 48-port gigabit and 4-port 10GE SFP+ switch with 48-port PoE+. Every RJ45 port is 802.3at/af PoE+ with up to 30 W, sharing a 500 W budget, with Fast PoE and Perpetual PoE. It offers 176 Gbps switching, 128 IP interfaces, 48 static routes, VLAN, ACL, 802.1X and QoS, managed through Omada SDN or standalone.

SG3452XP overview

The SG3452XP is TP-Link's Omada Access Plus 48-Port Gigabit and 4-Port 10GE SFP+ Switch with 48-Port PoE+, current AU hardware version V2.30. All forty-eight 10/100/1000 Mbps RJ45 ports are PoE+, compliant with 802.3at/af and delivering up to 30 W each, within a 500 W total PoE budget. Fast PoE and Perpetual PoE are supported. Four 10G SFP+ slots handle uplinks, and an RJ45 console port and a micro-USB console port provide out-of-band access; an RJ45 console cable is in the box.

Switching performance matches the non-PoE SG3452X: 176 Gbps switching capacity, a 130.9 Mpps forwarding rate, a 16K MAC table, a 12 Mbit buffer and 9 KB jumbo frames. L2+ features include 128 IPv4/IPv6 interfaces and 48 static routes, 128 static ARP entries out of 512, DHCP server, DHCP interface, VLAN and L2 relay, link aggregation, spanning tree and loopback detection, together with VLAN, ACL, 802.1X and QoS. Omada SDN management through a Cloud-Based, Hardware or Software Controller lets the SG3452XP be monitored and configured with the access points it powers, with the Omada app and zero-touch provisioning; it can also run standalone via web GUI, CLI, SNMP and RMON.

Power and cooling are scaled for 500 W of PoE. The switch has three fans and a deeper 440 x 330 x 44 mm chassis than the SG3452X, with an internal 100 to 240 V AC supply, a physical security lock and 6 kV surge protection. Maximum power consumption with 500 W of PDs connected is 618.4 W at 220 V/50 Hz (648.2 W at 110 V/60 Hz), and heat dissipation is up to 2102.56 BTU/hr at 220 V. Operating temperature is -5 to 45 °C. The package contains the switch, power cord, RJ45 console cable, quick installation guide, rackmount kit, rubber feet and screws.
