The TP-Link Tapo H200 is a smart hub that connects up to 64 Tapo sensors, buttons or Sub-1G switches plus up to 4 Tapo cameras or video doorbells. It stores recordings on a microSD card up to 512 GB (sold separately), acts as a smart alarm or chime with 19 ringtones up to 90 dB, and comes with an RJ45 Ethernet cable and DC power adapter.

Tapo H200 overview

The Tapo H200 is TP-Link's smart hub for people who want sensors and cameras in one system. TP-Link counts its capacity as 64+4: up to 64 IoT devices (sensors, buttons or Sub-1G switches) plus 4 cameras or video doorbells. The H200 page names the compatible Sub-1G devices as the Tapo S210 and S220 switches, the Tapo T150, T100, T110, T300, T310 and T315 sensors, and the Tapo S200B and S200D buttons. For cameras and video doorbells it currently supports the Tapo C420, Tapo C400 and Tapo D230, with more to be supported in the future. Devices with more than one control unit count once per unit: a 2-gang Tapo S220 counts as two devices, and the T310 and T315 temperature and humidity sensors each count as two because they measure both.

Recordings from connected cameras and video doorbells can be saved to a microSD card installed in the hub, up to 512 GB. The card is purchased separately. The hub also works as a smart alarm or chime alongside Tapo cameras, video doorbells and sensors, sounding when motion is detected or a visitor arrives. It offers 19 built-in ringtones, including bark, siren and doorbell sounds, at up to 90 dB with adjustable volume. Schedules and timers let you set up automatic scenarios, and Smart Actions link the hub's devices with the rest of your Tapo products.

TP-Link says the H200's ultra-low power wireless protocol helps battery-powered sensors and buttons last up to 10 times longer, compared with battery-powered devices that use Wi-Fi. The Sub-1G link runs on 920.9 MHz, 921.7 MHz and 922.3 MHz for Australia, alongside 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi. TP-Link stresses that the H200 only supports Sub-G devices working in the specified frequency band, and that devices and hubs must share the same Sub-1G band, as regions differ. For voice control TP-Link lists Amazon Alexa and Google Home (Google Assistant elsewhere on the same page), with the condition that working with Alexa and Google Home requires the H200 to be connected to camera devices, smart sensors or Sub-1G switches.

The H200 page also covers Matter. TP-Link describes connecting Matter-certified devices to platforms including Apple Home, Google Home, Amazon Alexa and Tapo, with multi-admin control across several platforms or accounts, and local network communication using proven encryption algorithms; third-party ecosystems require a hub of the chosen platform. Physically the H200 measures 71.45 x 71.45 x 31.25 mm, has a reset button and a system LED, and runs from a 100-240 V adapter with a 9 V 0.85 A output. It operates from 0 to 40 °C and is listed with CE, FCC and RCM certification. The box contains the Tapo H200, an RJ45 Ethernet cable, a DC power adapter and a quick start guide.
