Specifications from Teltonika's official product data for the RUT276, checked October 2026.

The RUT276 Compact RedCap 5G Router in depth

RedCap 5G in a compact industrial router

The RUT276 brings core 5G benefits into IoT projects, with higher throughput and lower latency than traditional 4G networks. The mobile module supports 5G Sub-6GHz SA at 223 Mbps DL and 123 Mbps UL, with 4G LTE Cat 4 at 195 Mbps DL and 105 Mbps UL. Two Mini SIM (2FF) slots and automatic failover help keep the connection always on, and two SMA antenna connectors are provided for mobile.

Serial and protocol integration

Built-in RS232 and RS485 interfaces on a 6-pin terminal block let the RUT276 connect directly to industrial equipment. RS232 has no flow control signals, and RS485 is half duplex (2-wire). Serial functions include Console, Serial over IP, Modem, MODBUS gateway and NTRIP Client. Native protocol support covers Modbus, OPC UA and BACnet, with DNP3 and DLMS/COSEM also listed for utility and industrial systems.

Built for industrial environments

The RUT276 uses an anodised aluminium housing and measures 83 x 25 x 83 mm. It operates from -40 °C to 75 °C at 10% to 90% non-condensing humidity and has an IP30 rating. Power comes from a 2-pin industrial DC socket (9 - 57 VDC) or PoE in on the LAN port. Mounting options are DIN rail, wall mount or flat surface, and all require an additional kit.

Networking, security and management

The RUT276 runs RutOS, an OpenWrt-based Linux OS, with VPN support including OpenVPN, IPsec, WireGuard and more. It also offers a firewall, VLAN separation, failover and load balancing. Wi-Fi 4 works as an access point, client, mesh or multi-AP with up to 50 simultaneous connections. Management options include the WebUI, FOTA, SMS, SNMP, MQTT and Teltonika Remote Management System (RMS).
