The Netgear MSM4320 in depth

Built for touring and live AV

The MSM4320 brings Neutrik connectivity to the M4350 series. Eight of its sixteen 2.5G PoE++ ports are locking etherCON connectors on the front panel, power comes in through two powerCON connectors, and optional interface cards add opticalCON QUAD fibre for rugged stage and outside-broadcast use.

Redundant power by design

Two 800W internal power supplies provide 530W of PoE that stays up if one feed is lost, or 1,130W when both supplies share the load. C14 male adapters let you use standard IEC C13 cords where powerCON leads are not available.

Flexible uplinks and broadcast timing

The APM414V card with four 25G SFP28 ports ships pre-installed; swap it for 10GBASE-T copper or multimode/single-mode opticalCON cards as needed. As a SMPTE-capable M4350 model it offers PTP Boundary Clock and Grandmaster Clock for ST 2110 and AES67 workflows.

Frequently asked questions

Straight answers about the Netgear MSM4320 from the ARC IP Networks team. Last reviewed October 2026.

The MSM4320 has 16 x 2.5G PoE++ ports in total: 8 are Neutrik etherCON on the front panel and the other 8 are standard RJ45 ports. All 16 support Ultra90 PoE++.

Its two internal 800W power supplies give a 530W redundant PoE budget (1+1). With both supplies connected the total PoE budget reaches 1,130W.

It ships with the APM414V (4 x 25G SFP28). Optional cards are the APM414C (4 x 10GBASE-T, 1G/10G), APM414SD (2 opticalCON QUAD for 4 multimode transceivers) and APM414LD (2 opticalCON QUAD for 4 single-mode transceivers).

Netgear notes that a back-to-back 25G link between two MSM4320 units over passive DAC cables may take about 15 to 70 seconds to establish; active optical (AOC) cables remove that delay.

Yes. It is one of the M4350 models with hardware PTP Boundary Clock and Grandmaster Clock modes, supporting SMPTE 2059-2, AES67 and AES-R16-2016 profiles.
