The Cisco DP-9811-K9= in depth

The entry point to the 9800 Series

The Desk Phone 9811 brings Cisco's PhoneOS to a two-line, greyscale-screen phone. PhoneOS lets the same hardware register to Cisco Unified CM, Webex Calling, Webex Dedicated Instance, BroadWorks or other certified platforms, which simplifies buying, deploying and training.

Unified CM version and feature notes

Cisco supports the 9811 on Unified CM version 14 or above, while other 9800 models support 12.5 or above; a device package may be required. Desk reservation, hot desking, Webex Companion and one-button meeting join are listed as not applicable to the 9811.

Successor to the 6901

Cisco names the Desk Phone 9811 as the replacement for the end-of-sale Cisco Unified IP Phone 6901. The 9800 Series is PoE powered and does not ship with a power supply; regional Power Adapter 3 units are ordered separately.
