Professional Overview

The Ubiquiti UniFi Cloud Key Enterprise (CK-Enterprise) is the definitive management solution for large-scale and mission-critical UniFi network deployments. This dedicated, rack-mountable server is engineered to provide centralized, on-premises control over thousands of UniFi devices and tens of thousands of clients across multiple sites. It offers a secure, private, and high-performance alternative to third-party cloud hosting or self-hosted controllers, ensuring your network management data remains entirely within your infrastructure.

At its core, the CK-Enterprise is built for robust performance and responsiveness. It is powered by an enterprise-class Intel Xeon-D 12-core processor and equipped with 32 GB of DDR4 memory, providing the necessary horsepower to manage extensive networks without performance degradation. The storage architecture is optimized for both speed and reliability, featuring a 128 GB SSD for the operating system and applications, and a dual 8 TB hard drive configuration in a RAID 1 array for redundant data storage.

Reliability and uptime are paramount in enterprise environments, and the CK-Enterprise is designed with multiple layers of redundancy. It features dual hot-swappable 550W power supplies, which can run on either AC or DC power, providing critical power failover to ensure the management plane is always online. For network connectivity, it includes dual 10G SFP+ ports and a Gigabit RJ45 port, enabling high-speed, redundant uplinks to your core network.

Running the powerful UniFi OS, the Cloud Key Enterprise provides a seamless and intuitive management experience through the UniFi Network application. It is the ideal solution for enterprises, managed service providers (MSPs), and large educational campuses that require a scalable, secure, and highly available platform to command their entire UniFi ecosystem.

Cloud Key Enterprise vs Cloud Key+ G2 — Which UniFi Controller Do You Need?

The Cloud Key Enterprise (CK-Enterprise) is a dedicated 1U rack server for managing thousands of UniFi devices across multiple sites — an Intel Xeon-D 12-core platform with 32 GB DDR4, dual 8 TB drives in RAID 1 and dual hot-swappable power supplies. The compact Cloud Key+ G2 (UCK-G2-Plus) hosts UniFi applications for a single small site — up to 24 HD Protect cameras — on a desktop-sized, PoE-powered unit.

Choose the Cloud Key Enterprise when you manage UniFi at MSP or enterprise scale — many sites, thousands of devices, and a requirement that management data stays on your own hardware with storage and power redundancy. Choose the Cloud Key+ G2 for a single site with a handful of cameras and APs. If your gateway already runs your applications, see our Ubiquiti UniFi Cloud Gateways guide. Frequently Asked Questions — Ubiquiti Cloud Key Enterprise

What is the Ubiquiti Cloud Key Enterprise?

The CK-Enterprise is a dedicated 1U rack-mount UniFi management server. It runs the UniFi Network application on UniFi OS to centrally manage thousands of UniFi devices across multiple sites, powered by an Intel Xeon-D 12-core processor with 32 GB of DDR4 memory, a 128 GB SSD for the OS, and dual 8 TB hard drives in RAID 1.

How many devices can the Cloud Key Enterprise manage?

It is engineered for large-scale deployments - thousands of UniFi network devices and tens of thousands of clients across multiple sites, centrally managed from one on-premises server.

What is the difference between the Cloud Key Enterprise and the Cloud Key+ G2?

The Cloud Key+ G2 is a compact desktop console for a single small site (up to 24 HD Protect cameras, 1 TB storage, PoE powered). The Cloud Key Enterprise is a rack server for multi-site enterprise management: Xeon-D 12-core vs ARM, 32 GB vs 3 GB memory, dual 8 TB RAID 1 storage, dual 10G SFP+ networking and dual hot-swappable power supplies.

Why choose the Cloud Key Enterprise over cloud or self-hosting?

It keeps UniFi management fully on-premises - a private, high-performance alternative to third-party cloud hosting or maintaining your own self-hosted controller, with enterprise hardware redundancy and no virtualisation setup to maintain.

What redundancy does the Cloud Key Enterprise have?

Dual hot-swappable 550W AC/DC power supplies and mirrored 8 TB drives in RAID 1, so a failed PSU or drive can be replaced without downtime or data loss - plus dual 10G SFP+ ports for redundant network connectivity.

What are the Cloud Key Enterprise's network interfaces?

(2) 10G SFP+ ports and (1) GbE RJ45 management port, with Bluetooth for initial setup.

Does the Cloud Key Enterprise require licensing?

No. The UniFi Network application is pre-installed on UniFi OS with no licensing or subscription fees, regardless of how many devices or sites you manage.
