Microsoft 365 Apps for business in depth

The Office apps, always up to date

Apps for business gives each user installed, up-to-date versions of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and OneNote, plus Access on PC. Because they are desktop apps, your team can keep working offline.

Each user gets 1 TB of OneDrive storage to store, edit and share documents from any device, with files syncing across devices when you reconnect.

Apps for business or Business Standard

Microsoft describes Apps for business as popular desktop apps, excluding chat or calling. If you also need hosted Exchange email, Teams and SharePoint, Business Standard includes the same desktop apps plus those services.

Subscription terms

  • Annual commitment: a 12-month term, priced per user.
  • Under Microsoft's New Commerce terms, a subscription can only be cancelled in the first seven days of its term.
  • You can add licences during the term; reductions apply from the next renewal.
