What is the AI Speaker?
A fabric-fronted indoor speaker that joins UniFi Protect as a first-class device. The point isn't hi-fi — it's response. When a Protect camera's AI engine detects a person where there shouldn't be one, the speaker can play a warning automatically at up to 100 dB; when staff need to address a room or a door, it's a talk-down and announcement channel. Because it's PoE++, the install is one cable from a UniFi switch — no amplifier, no speaker wire, no separate audio system to maintain.

The UniFi AI Speaker (UP-AI-Speaker) is an indoor PoE speaker for the UniFi Protect ecosystem: a 100 dB, 3-inch full-range speaker that plays automated AI-triggered alerts, talk-down messages and announcements, mounting flush or on the surface of a wall or ceiling.
It turns detections into audible responses. When a Protect camera's AI detects something — a person in a closed area after hours, for example — the speaker can automatically play an alert or warning at up to 100 dB, and staff can use it for announcements and live talk-down.
Its maximum output is 100 dB at one metre from a 3-inch full-range driver, with 87 dB sensitivity and 150 Hz to 20 kHz response over a 90-degree coverage pattern — loud enough to be unambiguous indoors.
A single PoE++ cable does everything — power (up to 33W) and audio. It surface-mounts by default or flush-mounts into an 84.7 mm cutout with the optional kit, indoors.
