What is colour night vision on a security camera?
Full-colour night vision lets a security camera record in vivid colour even in very low light, instead of the grey black-and-white image of traditional infrared cameras. Highly sensitive image sensors and advanced processing keep colours accurate, which makes it easier to identify people, cars and clothing. The Jovision JVS-N837-UDL offers this with an effective range of up to 30 metres.
Black & White Footage Isn't Helping. See True Colours, 24/7.
For too long, nighttime security has come with a major compromise. Traditional infrared (IR) cameras give you a grainy, black and white image where everything is a shade of grey. You might see that someone was on your property, but who were they? What were they wearing? What colour was their car? With traditional IR, those crucial details are lost to the darkness.
Effective security doesn't stop when the sun goes down, and now, neither does the clarity of your footage.
What is Full-Colour Night Vision?
Full-Colour Night Vision is a technology that allows a security camera to see and record in vivid colour, even in very low-light conditions. The Jovision JVS-N837-UDL uses highly sensitive image sensors and advanced processing to render colourful images long after the human eye has switched to seeing in black and white.
This technology allows you to "See everything in vivid colour, even in the dead of night".
Why Colour Makes All the Difference for Security
The primary benefit of colour night vision is simple: Identification.
Being able to capture accurate colours provides a level of detail that is invaluable for any investigation. It’s the difference between telling police "I saw a person in dark clothes" and "I saw a person in a red jacket and blue jeans get into a dark green car."
This feature is essential for the "clear identification of people, cars, and clothing". With an effective range of up to 30 metres, you get brilliant, full-colour detail across your entire property, from the back fence to the front footpath.
See the Night in a Whole New Light
Don't settle for ambiguous grey shapes in your security recordings. When an event happens at night, the details matter most. Upgrading to a camera with colour night vision ensures you have a clear, useful, and actionable record of events, 24 hours a day.
